You’re right. They made him terrifying. But that’s not what made fans tune in, it was as he was also unpredictable not just terrifying.

Maya wasn’t terrifying, not when played by Jenny for sure who looked never better than when she played Maya and she’s gorgeous as it is, but the makers made her appear both as someone who is supposed to be this damaged character you feel sorry for, but also a sorta mess who’s scary. They didn’t pick a lane and stick with it which is the tragedy of that show. And I only know it from snippets. Else it could have been amazing.

Dhurandhar is already on Netflix! That’s where I finally watched it for the second time today. They even improved the quality of the upload from the initial one which was dull.

I barely got tickets once and couldn’t wait to watch it again but it was sold out almost every time after that or the seats available were so close to the screen that I couldn’t enjoy the experience if I wanted.

Karanvir was so good in s1 as a performer. Later in s2, his character got redeemed after having a daughter.

@bold I watched that movie in the theater last month. Excessive gore content and vulgar dialogues were presented and even the crowd was silent, unlike the crowd during the Saiyaara movie. That's why the majority of seats were empty as it was not a family watch. Saiyaara, on the other hand, had jam-packed shows throughout the entire month of its release in Toronto.

On top of that, there was a complete misrepresentation and misinformation in the whole narrative regarding my city, so it felt almost laughable that this is what they're showing about Karachi, which we, as core Karachiites, have never seen. Anything for money like itv serials nowadays.

Never watched S2 so dunno.

Regarding Dhurandhar - I loved the movie and don’t mind anything shown in it. To me gore, violence and even explicit dialogues are not an issue as long as I feel like the makers are treating their audience as people who don’t need to be preached at or spoon fed everything or who need watered down versions of their narratives so as to not offend sensibilities or because they think that the audience is not smart enough to understand what they want to say.

As a Mumbai native, I felt that this was probably the first time that I watched a movie that channeled the rage that 26/11 evoked accurately, not just at the perpetrators but at the useless government that was silent in its response in the aftermath of such an incident.

When Ranveer’s character says Mere Ghar Mein… that sentiment hit home for me because while this whole country is mine, my motherland… Mumbai sach mein mera ghar hai.

So I guess, it’s all a matter of perspectives. I can’t wait to watch Part Two as I am even more excited for it than I was for this one.

I wouldn’t tune into Saiyaara, it would bore me to sleep even in a crowded theatre.

I am really impressed that KSBKBT2 is all about family, business and finding love among the couple...be it TuHir or VriDang or ParAjay ...

Off all the best part is no character is wasted.... every character has its own intensity, intentions... and requirements according to the story ...be it Munni making comeback as tax collector or Gautam being negetive having an OG arc of his nature ... Karan has its own necessity in time or be it Bandhej's girl toli ... everyone is utilised ...has its arc, turn in time...

No a character is wasted or given unfair screen space... except Sahil and Pooja...

I hope they keep it up ...and let entertain us better way....and end in a good note obviously...

Last but not the least...

I wish Tulsi had a transformation ...not because she looks aged!! Not at all...

But I think that...this transformation should be given to spread a message that how a Homemaker losses her youth, charm and beauty over time, just because they gets themselves engrossed in the world of "Homemaking" ..leaves all her identity, career, hope and everything just because they love their home....this transformation should be for that to tell some people that they can still be that youthful lady if she really wants, but since they leave to care themselves people starts seeing them outdated compared to others

...And it should tell they can prioritise themselves as well...as they are able to balance both Home, Business and Beauty...

(but most of them leaves self care and chose their "Homely Duty")...

Today’s star of the episode was undoubtedly Ajay. Truly happy to see the actor back on the show again. He’s definitely the most good looking actor from this generation and I think it’s worth to note that the parallels between him and Ran are very subtly being presented without any in your face treatment.

He found the solution for Tulsi’s requirements without having to be asked for it, saw that she was being emotional and turning down an opportunity that once turned away might not happen again for her and unfortunately her emotional state was stopping her from making a decision that was practical and necessary from a business standpoint.

Worse, Tulsi’s refusal was being reinforced by Angad, who while well intentioned was not only supportive of a decision that would probably have repercussions for Bandhej as a business going forward, but which also was a step that could save a legacy company like the Viranis in one shot. An event, which wouldn’t have just impacted the Viranis, including Tulsi emotionally on a deep level but also the workforce of their 2000 employees and their families by extension.

Ajay bringing in Hrithik to convince Tulsi today undoubtedly led to the best scene of the episode today.

I loved how Hrithik was comfortable enough to bare his heart out to his mom, in a strange way, even as he wore his vulnerability openly today, he displayed a rare kind of strength in the fact that he allowed Ajay and Vrinda to witness how emotionally fragile he felt…

It’s one thing for a child to do what Hrithik did today in front of his mother. If not your mom, then who else could you be so comfortable with to share all your feelings and pains? Who else could you so easily ask for help and support without hesitation by baring your wounds raw and naked?

But it’s another thing to allow witnesses for that moment, especially those around whom you haven’t grown. Ajay and Vrinda are there instead of Angad and Pari… which in and of itself speaks volumes regarding how on a deeper level, Hrithik has more strength than he realises… he’s simply in a place now where he’s forgotten to recognise and own it.

I think it’s also a bit of a rapport building for the future… Ajay and Vrinda both being the better halves of his siblings. Quite literally in Pari’s case (as much as I don’t want this but it’s plain as day where this is going)… Mihir truly did pick a wonderful man for his daughter who was too stupid to appreciate him back then. Pretty sure she’s going to find out what he did here and feel even worse about picking Ran over him eventually.

Sigh… Munni is gonna be the final piece of this hexagonal puzzle…

But I am more glad about how Ajay used emotions and empathy to get through to Tulsi today using Hrithik as a medium. Emotions stopped Tulsi from doing the required, but the most powerful and greatest of emotions, motherhood was responsible to get through to her too.

It would be hilarious to watch how Noina reacts to this development. She can’t sabotage the orders as they help the Viranis and her by extension, since she’s a partner of the company; she knows they need all the help they can get … but she wouldn’t be too happy to see Mihir Tulsi meeting and working together again in any capacity.

Ajay is playing Cupid, likely without meaning too perhaps … he also confirmed the hunch that Mihir was the mystery caller, thankfully pretty quickly.

I liked how the episode ended up being a mix of practicality combined with sentiments that led to this decision of Tulsi’s. For that rather dramatic promo, they didn’t surprisingly go OTT with this plot point. Wonder if Mihir’s accident will be a minor thing too likely resulting in a small injury or maybe a fracture at most since they underplayed the other aspect of the promo.

Perhaps the most hilarious part of this is the fact that Upma is getting louder and more melodramatic, OTT in desperation which shows as a result of the numbers coming in… Kyunki on the other hand is just using decent storytelling to get their audience to watch them smiley36

So much for मारुंगी (marungi) more of मरूंगी (maroongi) smiley36

Yup, they completely redeemed Viraj in that season.

@bold Likewise, I don't agreed with anything against the false narrative of my place Karachi. Anyway, the story was clearly fabricated. Even the writer depicted how Ranveer helped the opposition to a certain extent by lending a helping hand in those unacceptable activities.

As a true Karachite, I can say that hardly even 10% of people in Karachi actually aware about Lyari (an underprivileged area on the outskirts of the city), let alone Rehman Dacoit. Wheras in the movie it presented as whole city was ruled by them, which was significantly false. Altaf husain, ruling era was completely missed.

Rehman was a real person but his real motive was all about a personal dispute amongst his tribes. Nothing related to India but yeah, if selling a fabricated narrative makes huge profits then why not! And yeah,

Akshay Khanna's performance was solid too, except for the required accent and dressing needed to relate the narrative more precisely.

Saiyaara was a nice movie after so long specifically the songs. I really like the newcomers acting.

I don’t think people like Viraj can be redeemed. That’s just impossible.

Regarding the rest - this movie could have been set in any city in Pakistan, the impact of the story would’ve been just the same. Even if they had picked Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore or any other place. Why Dhar picked that city to be precise is best known to him. The city was a stage but the focus was on the interplay itself between the characters. All the actors did a brilliant job whether based on a real person or a fictional one.

Didn’t even like the songs of Saiyaara much. Have had better music in the past in the similar genre. Songs which have recall value even over a decade later. Saiyaara’s songs are likely to be forgotten by 2030. Genuinely disappointed by most albums these days. Dhurandhar has again been the one that impressed me in this regard after a very long time. Have heard almost the whole album on a loop multiple times since it came out, hasn’t been the case in ages for any new movie. Can’t wait to see the album of Part 2 already.

Anything is possible on ITV. If Pari can be redeemed, then he surely can. Noyna is in line too after being a homewrecker 🙄

@bold I completely disagreed here since there's a hidden agenda in selecting that specific dacoit story and the city. Since we both share different perspectives, better to avoid. Mutual respect and understanding are greater than anything here ✨️

A few songs of Saiyaara were amazing, but I agree, previously the music albums were so tuneful, catchy, and engaging, such as Saawariya, etc. Even the OSTs of television serials were gripping and melodious.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon seems like a nice watch, but have heard mixed reviews. Content is considerably lacking everywhere nowadays.

i liked the conversation scene between ajay and mihir too...it was a decent episode today..ajay somehow figured that mihir foiled ranvijay's plans of thwarting tulsi's hardwork..
