I've watched all the previous seasons of Naagin , some of them repeatedly. My favorite seasons were N1 , N3 and N5 which is why I only mentioned those seasons . I've seen S5 twice so I need not be reminded of Veer's absolutely single minded devotion and pagalpan for Bani . Heck! He even took another birth just to be with her and that was just the starting point of his character. I was a huge fan of Sharad and Surbhi C both from their previous shows and was delighted when they were cast together and their story turned out to be memorable ❤️.
But I'm absolutely glad Aryaman is not like any previous mls. He's not like Ritwik, Mahir or Veer and that's exactly why I love him as a character so much. If I wanted him to be like Veer or Mahir , then I could just go and watch them , why do I need a new character ?
As I was discussing with another member, even Ananta is completely different from any previous Naagins. She's far more ruthless , grey coded and practically walking on a very narrow moral line and that's exactly what got me hooked.
I'm glad for once that Ananta and Aryamaan soulmate connection is not established from the get go. It leaves an element of mystery for the viewers ala will-they-won't-they.
Ofcourse they're destined to end up together. It's crystal clear that Aryaman didn't stab Ananta. It's also clear that he's not related to the Suris by blood. Which means he's the og Suri child or the Professor's son. Ofcourse when he'll find out how the fake Suri n Co. killed his parent(s) he'll turn against them and join Ananta in both taking revenge and also protecting the country against outside hostile forces.
But all that will happen in good time. I'm for once is glad that they're not jumping guns with making Aryaman fall for her. It's a very refreshing and dare I say much needed, change from previous seasons where the ML practically falls for the fl head over heels on first sight. As much as I enjoyed those seasons it gets boring and tiring after a point of time to see the same story repeatedly.
Rest , Veer is and will remain my most favorite ML of naagin till date partly because how magnificently Sharad played him. It's a tough job to beat him.

That ex could be Kunika's character if her latest photo doing the rounds with Aryamaan is anything to go by. However he needs to move on from his ex bcoz we all came to see Naagin here not a Saas Bahu saga like the Bhagyas where the ML character spends most of his time with his ex or the vamp rather than the main FL character and yet its accepted as some sort of a Mahaan Love story.

I have no words left to describe the amazing love story of VANI.The pairing was phenomenal showcasing Veer's extreme passion for Bani and Bani's moral dilemma as to how a predator could love her so strongly?

Yes agreed that Aryamaan's character needs to be different from every Naagin ML that came before him but he has that cynical trait which was there in Rishabh and Dev's character of N6 and N4 and both turned out to be debacles.Cynical ML characters work best in Saas Bahu genre not in a finite series like Naagin.

And sloppy too.I like Ananta's way of taking revenge and her plans are also good but its not completely foolproof like Shivanya of N1 or Shivangi of N2 and Bela of N3.Bharni also pointed out Ahana's mistake of letting that Sapera escape inspite of him being in her sights and in today's episode she was almost gonna blurt out her Naagin secret due to the effects of the drug mixed in her whiskey glass and that too in front of that mobile camera.
When it comes to ruthlessness Ananta's Naagin character is second to none but since you have watched N1 yourself you would remember that Shivanya's planning and plotting methods were far more intricate and covered every tracks or loopholes with precision unlike Ananta.
Same applies to Shivangi too-in fact Shivangi was far more ruthless and emotionless compared to her mom Shivanya in N2.She never gave any chances or scope for escape to her adversaries unlike Ananta.
Hope Ananta/Ahana is far more careful in future when it comes to executing her plans bcoz her identity almost got exposed today in front of Aryamaan if he would have seen her reflection in that pool.

I agree with you on this point that same flavors makes the storylines dull and boring after a while.As revealed today Aryamaan not only swapped Vikram's phone to send an SMS to Ahana but smartly deleted the evidence from that phone too however his plan was partly understood by Ahana when she arrived at Aryamaan's proposed dating venue thinking to be her mate Vikram's plan.
Aryamaan even went one step further and drugged Ahana's drink which almost led her to blurt out her Naagin secret and if the next episode tomorrow is anything to go by then perhaps her Naagin secret has got exposed in front of the Suris unless its a dream sequence altogether.
So what Aryamaan did today was far more calculative but it had no sound logic because his actions were backed by inner toxicity over not respecting either Ahana or Vikram's choice.
Aryamaan's actions whether its today or in future episodes can be backed if he's portrayed as a negative grey-shaded character.His actions could prove to be a hindrance in Ananta's revenge schemes then.He could be shown as hurting Ananta with his toxic or negative actions but with a hidden motive.
Let Aryamaan collaborate with the Suris in hunting for the Naagmani.It could be revealed much later that he forcefully married Ananta not bcoz he wanted to protect his sister but only to gain the Naagmani for himself.
If the viewers like Arhana's chemistry then Aryamaan can go through a reformation phase too.His ex could be shown as having left him due to his illegal activities in collaboration with the Suris also including his unhealthy obsession with her.
A negative shaded Aryamaan would be far more calculative and sharp-minded compared to a cynical whitewashed Aryamaan.Who knows he could have backstabbed Ahana perhaps to purposely help her gain her Naagin powers?
Aryamaan referred to Ahana as Beauty and himself as the Brain so let it be a fight between Ananta's avenger type beauty against Aryamaan's tactical brain.
