I like hero's who have a bit of gray shade. Pura hi green forest hota hai toh there's not much scope to the character, it feels boring and also too good to be true kinda feel deta hai. Though I liked mahir in season3 and his complete devotion and support towards bela but at the same time many felt that his character didn't had much scope except being a love interest, although pearl really made the character iconic with his good acting.
In this season, i want aryaman to have his own arc. Mls with a bit toxicity and gray shade is fine because he brings in drama and no nonsense attitude, is blunt and there's also a good chance of getting redemption arc when he falls in love so I enjoy watching these kind of mls. Having said that, I don't really want aryaman's character to be so toxic that he becomes irredeemable.
I agree with your POV regarding Aryamaan's character description as to how it could be.
Yes Maahir was a green flagged ML character no doubt who loved Bela blindly and supported her every step of the way. However unlike Aryamaan his character was quite rational and logical just look at the way he rescued Bela from that Shahnawaz or recognized the real Bela from the fake one bcoz of his deep rooted feelings for her.
Maahir was also bit of a Mastermind character who came back as the flirty suave Krish to save Bela but Bela then also easily recognized her Maahirji.
Aryamaan is coming across as more of a cynical and toxic character now like forcing his friend Vikram to somehow marry his sister inspite of seeing Vikram's attraction/love for Ahana.
Aryamaan is not respecting his best buddy Vikram's wish at all here like any good buddy should.
I also don't mind Aryamaan being grey shaded or negative bcoz that would add more depth to his character then.If he's really shown as the backstabber who stabbed Purvi then it would be logical for him to either hurt or perhaps take advantage of Ahana's love for him again.
The cool factor in Aryamaan's negativity would be if his villainous acts somehow ends up helping Ananta's revenge mission. He could be shown as the silent hidden helper saving Ananta while pretending to be a villain in front of her.
So that would make Aryamaan's character as more of a Mastermind having a razor-sharp intellect with hidden motives.
Aryamaan need not go ga-ga or just worship Ananta like Veer/Maahir before him yet love her deeply like a silent hero with his revelation before her at the right opportune time.

sneaky folks lol
) woman who are harmless. Women with power, money, looks or any agency... That's dangerous. He's unbothered by the way ahana was being treated because he himself thinks about women in the similar way. He himself said koi Ameer Ghar ka mil Gaya toh pakad liya.
