They had twin sons. Gave one to Ganga Saahil as Ganga lost hers while protecting Damini from a fall. Gautam didn’t want to do it but Damini insisted on it and he relented.

Later they discovered that the son they kept was mentally underdeveloped. Gautam wanted his other son back because that kid had no such health issues.

That didn’t happen. But around the time Eklavya - Ansh’s son who is at least 9/10 pops up out of nowhere with a mom dying of cancer. She was Ansh’s first wife. She faked her death for some reason and Ansh never knew she was alive and they had a son. She had no family of her own and found out about Ansh being a Virani. Felt they were a decent family and got in touch with Karan somehow.

The Viranis got shocked when they learned about this wife and son of Ansh’s.

There was no DNA test done either, she was believed at face value and that’s how Gautam Damini ended up adopting Eklavya.

The difference was you could wear Kashish’s clothes, accessories and no one would be scandalised. Komo’s blouses were risqué by your average middle class family standards back then though I daresay now even they are almost there though still not as bold as her.

I will assume Karan tanya were married and had parth, whatever reason they aren't together anymore, his true love nandini came and they were married. And the twins are their bio kids

Oh wait. May be that’s why and how Parth being 18 or 20 years old makes sense despite TuHir being married for 38 years only because Parth was conceived when Karan and Tanya were teenagers as per this season timeline

This was more of an offscreen financial decision than an onscreen verdict. It initially started out for showcasing how Indian women were traditionally inclined in the way that they would naturally make that transition.

However later it stuck because Kyunki got so popular that saree manufacturers started sending their products to the set for all the women, as did artificial jewellery and accessories makers. They knew the show was being watched by women like crazy and they saw a business opportunity and took it.

They met with Nim Sood and Shobha Kapoor directly as well as Ekta to talk about their offer. The plan was simple - women on the show would wear their products only. The PH would simply need to inform them in advance when they required heavy outfits and jewellery for their wedding sequences and other events or festival related sequences.

Balaji would ensure that the pieces were well maintained and use as wide a variety as possible. They could even return the pieces provided they were not damaged else the amount would be paid off by them.

That’s how you got all these sarees for Tulsi, Prerna, Parvati, Kashish that were a rage. Aamna, who played Kashish also mostly wore dresses even post her marriages in the show (AND SHE HAD FIVE MARRIAGES TO FOUR DIFFERENT MEN!) I remember her suits, her jhumkis and her bangle sets were so good and so popular among young women that they would be sold out almost immediately after stocking! Aamna is a fashion designer herself so she worked on those designs per her interviews with Nim and since Ekta thought they looked fresh and the popularity was so high they let her wear whatever she designed.

Aamna legit had the best suits on the whole channel as Kashish, perhaps the best on Indian TV as a whole because they looked so, so good. She also wore colours that were unique somewhat and as a fashion designer herself she knew what looked good on her and what didn’t work for her. She kickstarted the trend of the kurta of a salwar suit being short too. Initially those used to be at least till the knees but she wore hers about an inch or two above her knees and my god did that become an instant rage especially among teens and young women. This suit she wore, I think it’s the scene where they finally confess that they love each other and it was insanely popular! There were in fact replicas of it too in different colour combinations if this one didn’t appeal to you, work for you or well.. was sold out before you got to the store!

Not just the suit… the song - Thoda Sa Pyaar Hua Hai became so famous- AFTER no one cared about it when it was pictured on Sohail Khan and Sameera Reddy that it became known as the Sujal Kashish song. It was caller tune, ringtone… you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing it in Mumbai at least. If not courtesy of a phone, you heard it at your home or in the auto as the rickshaw driver played it too

Komolika and Kashish were style icons in their own rights.

I think it’s gotta do with the fact that they were actually required to perform high stakes dramatic scenes. Arguments, brawls, all those family drama things.

They were sorta fired up almost all the time.

Lighter moments were few and far between these scenes but they happened as well. There was the occasional humorous scene here and there too. Also each character had a personality and personal equation based on that personality with the other significant characters on the show. Like Gautam had his own traits and we know he had different equations with Tulsi, Savita, Baa, Karan, Saahil, Ansh, Shobha. Even within his relationships be it with Ganga, Teesha or Damini - they had their own individual journeys with Gautam and depending on their personalities as well as how things started out with them he had his own way of dealing with these different women all of whom he was married to at one point or another.

New gen shows hardly care to establish individual rapports between different characters I believe. Actors, lead actors to be precise are more likely to have maximum scenes only with each other than other characters. That’s putting 2 newbies or average actors together as often as possible to save money because showing them with veterans means you pay the veteran actors to show up and shoot. Moreover, shows have a stupid idea that if you play a signature tune/song and get your leads to gaze at each other for a couple of minutes that’s chemistry. Make them have stupid meme worthy scenes and that’s popularity.

Such stupid scenes didn’t exist back then. Ansh flying through the air for 4 days more than enough stupidity back then. You couldn’t get popular by showing such lame things and be taken seriously as actors. At least not as leads.

You can’t develop strong screen presence when all you get to enact are such stupid scenes combined with prolonged staring scenes while some song/tune plays along to make the audience forget that such scenes don’t happen irl.

Parth existed when Ba died 25 years back, so he had to be born by latest 13 years of Tuhir marriage..

Karan had him as a pre teen

in this episode Tanya SA a pre teen Karan and had Parth...

that's why they dislike Tanya

Also Karan while acknowledging Parth could never get as close to him as he should so he was raised in SN
