This trend continues in WPL as well

Some innings that. Both from a team perspective and from a personal standpoint. NSB, as she has so often been for MI, was front and centre. She walked in relatively early, soaked up the pressure and then transferred it onto the table-toppers. And once she did that, RCB were run ragged. NSB stayed a step ahead of each bowler and in tandem with Matthews, ensured MI got well past what was the previous highest team total at this venue this season.

Mumbai Indians may have remained one shy of 200, but the Women's Premier League's wait is over for its first centurion, finally. It was a matter of when, and the question was who? And it was answered by Nat Sciver-Brunt through a knock of the highest quality. In a knock of the highest class, she stayed unbeaten on 100 from just 57 deliveries, blending authority with elegance throughout. Her innings powered Mumbai Indians into a commanding position at the halfway stage and gave the league a moment it had been waiting for eagerly.

What an incredible batting display by the Mumbai Indians. They were inserted into play, on a pitch which was expected to be tricky, but they have blasted their way to 199. That shows the champion side they are. Sajana departed early, but that brought Sciver-Brunt to the crease and the innings was all about her.

Here is Sampath with a stat: WPL's first-ever century is also Nat Sciver-Brunt's maiden T20 hundred. She held the record for most runs and fifties scored without a hundred in women's T20s. (8883 runs and 57 fifties before today from 362 matches and 348 innings).

Think they made fast and high scoring pitch here so score is more. Audience will be excited to see big scores.
