India and New Zealand

Suryakumar Yadav's men are on the brink of another T20I series win. They have already taken a 2-0 lead after winning the first two matches comprehensively. India will look to wrap up the series on Sunday and use the last two matches to test some combinations that may come in handy during the T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, New Zealand will look to learn from their mistakes in the first two matches and bounce back strongly. The bowling department for the Kiwis has looked ordinary. Also, the batters need to convert their starts into substantial scores.

Probable Best Batter: Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav finished 2025 with a paltry average of 13.62. However, he has returned to form in the series against New Zealand. He showed glimpses of his former self during the first T20I, where he scored a 22-ball 32. However, in the second T20I, he came into his element, and slammed a belligerent 82* off 37 balls, hitting nine fours and four sixes.

Probable Best Bowler: Varun Chakaravarthy

Varun Chakaravarthy has taken three wickets in two matches so far at an average of 24. The first two games have been high-scoring but the mystery spinner has been able to maintain a decent economy rate of 9. If there is not too much dew on offer, Chakaravarthy could be quite a handful for the Kiwi batting lineup.

Kuldeep closes in on huge milestone

India vs New Zealand Live Score: Kuldeep is only four wickets away from leveling Chahal as the joint-highest wicket-taker among India spinners in T20Is.

Ishan Kishan easily filled in for Tilak Varma. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy worked in tandem. Kuldeep's inclusion came after Axar Patel's finger injury. The visitors will be thinking about how they lost the second T20I, despite posting a score well

: Possibility of changes in playing XI

The Indian team management is unlikely to make any changes to the playing XI as their goal is to secure a 3-0 lead.

In case India brings back Jasprit Bumrah for the match, Harshit Rana or Arshdeep Singh might have to sit out. Kuldeep Yadav bowled well in the Raipur match, but he might be dropped from the team if Axar Patel is fit.

For New Zealand, they might consider including Lockie Ferguson in the team as he is available for selection. Jack Foulkes had a bad day in Raipur, conceding 67 runs in three overs. Additionally, Kyle Jamieson could also be brought back into the team. Mark Chapman hasn't been in form in this series, and this could be an opportunity for the Blackcaps to try out the exciting Ben Jacobs in Guwahati.

Score 238 and win by a heavy margin of 48 runs. Chase down a 200+ total with more than 4 overs to spare. That's how India have dominated proceedings in this T20I series so far. "Against these guys? 300 I guess," quipped Mitchell Santner when he was asked how much his team needed to score against the T20 World Champions. Can New Zealand come up with something special and keep the series alive? Or will India register their 11th successive T20 series win? Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the third T20I between India and New Zealand. Guwahati will be the battleground. 447 runs were scored in 40 overs the last time it hosted a T20I which saw the Aussies prevail in a thrilling contest. With the T20 World Cup commencing in less two weeks, it's the final phase of fine-tuning before the mega event. Despite the fickle nature of this format, India come into his game as favourites. Let's hope we witness a close encounter. Stay tuned, toss and team updates coming up shortly...

Pitch Report | Deep Dasgupta and Simon Doull: "It's the third game of the series and we are in the hills. We are in Guwahati for the third game of the series. Dimensions - 64m and 66m square boundaries, straight down at 74m. This strip plays much better than it looks. It looks okay for now, to be honest. It doesn't look a bad pitch at all. It's got a nice grass covering on it. I think that will assist the ball coming onto the bat quite nicely. It's old grass, it's quite dead., it's brown. So I just think it will slide onto the bat really nicely. A few cracks. Not as many as we saw in the first couple of games. And not really that sheen on the surface either, but that will come later, won't it? We're going to talk about the dew because that plays a role, but it might just play a role for the whole game again. You would want to chase, I would expect. Especially because of the dew factor, even though they've put chemicals and all, it might not be as visible in the outfield, but on the pitch and that is the reason, the first half, it is on the drier side as of now. Again, when the game starts later in the evening, you'll see the difference in the look, how this pitch looks as well. So you definitely want to chase because the dew will make this pitch better to bat on in the second half."
