PITCH REPORT - Former Indian wicket-keeper batter Deep Dasgupta informs that this is India's 100th T20I at home. Shares that the match will be played on the centre wicket, which results in the square boundaries measuring 68 metres on either side and the straight hit being 75 metres. Former Kiwi quick, Simon Doull, observes the patchy nature of the surface and jokes that the surface looks a bit like the way his head did before his hair transplant. Doull expects the pitch to play better than it looks, though it could be a touch low and slow early on. Mentions that historically, this has been a relatively low-scoring venue in T20 cricket, although it did host a high-scoring ODI recently, with over 700 runs scored here. Feels that the spinners will have a say, considering the boundary dimensions.

"Raipur has a history of favoring the chasing side due to dew, but with a 1-0 lead, I hope India challenges themselves by batting first if they win the toss. Perfect time to test the bowlers' nerve!"" -- Well, they did bat first last time around so maybe they'll want to take a bigger lead in the series before experimenting like that.

It's toss time. SKY tosses it up. Tails is the call, but heads it is. Big cheers. India will bowl first. SKY says there is already dew out there and India haven't chased in recent times so they want to chase. Same wicket that was used in the ODI series. Axar Patel missing out with injury and Bumrah resting, with Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav coming into the XI.

Mitchell Santner: We would have also bowled. Every time you play against a quality side in their conditions, you learn something. We have three changes - Seifert comes in for Robinson, Clark is out and Foulkes comes in, Matt Henry is also in.

Suryakumar Yadav: We are going to bowl first. There is already little bit of dew out there, we haven't chased in recent times, so we want to chase. It looks good. We play every game, we try and improve on every aspects, we will try and do same things in every department. We have two changes - Axar got hit last night, Bumrah is resting.

India (Playing XI): Sanju Samson(w), Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy

Mitchell Santner: We would have also bowled. Every time you play against a quality side in their conditions, you learn something. We have three changes - Seifert comes in for Robinson, Clark is out and Foulkes comes in, Matt Henry is also in.

India have won the toss and have opted to field

Suryakumar Yadav: We are going to bowl first. There is already little bit of dew out there, we haven't chased in recent times, so we want to chase. I think it (the pitch) looks good. I think it's the same wicket they said, which was used for the ODI series. I think we play every game, we try and improve on all the aspects. We never get perfect. We are always learning. But yeah, we look to do the same things again. We try and do the same thing in the bowling department, fielding and batting. We have two changes - Axar is missing out because he got hit in the last game. And Bumrah is resting tonight. So Harshit and Kuldeep come in.

W

Harshit Rana to Conway, out Caught by Hardik Pandya!! Harshit strikes second ball! He had the wood over Conway in the ODI series and needs only two balls to get him in the T20Is. 115.2ks slower delivery and Conway did not spot it, he's deceived for pace and through the shot early, toe-ends it towards mid-off, Conway c Hardik Pandya b Harshit Rana 19(9) [4s-3 6s-1]

Harshit Rana to Conway, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
