Wow. That was some team innings. Headlined by the GG skipper, who blazed her way to yet another WPL half century. She might have been disappointed when she got dismissed but her innings, alongside that of debutant Anushka Sharma, meant the GG had plenty of momentum and firepower throughout. A good hand at the top of the innings by Devine too, with Fulmali and Wareham indulging in pyrotechnics towards the end, ensuring that GG posted their highest ever total in the WPL.

UPW's bowling and fielding, however, left a lot to be desired. They could not find the right lengths throughout and bowled on both sides of the wicket. This does look like a better pitch than the one MI and RCB played on yesterday, but UPW, nevertheless, will need a top-drawer batting display to get over the line here. Join us in a bit for the second half!

Wareham to Lanning, OUT

massive, massive lbw shout, and given, belatedly! Lanning goes upstairs! Slider on a length on middle and off. Skids on and Lanning plays with bat and pad very close together. Did seem as if the ball grazed the pad first. Umpire Kaushik Gandhi certainly felt so. This looks touch-and-go. Seems like the first contact is on the pad, and UltraEdge confirms it. Onto Ball Tracking now, and it reckons the ball would have smashed into middle and off. Lanning not happy with the decision, but she has to go, and she takes a review along with her too!

Wareham to Deol, OUT

simple return catch, and Wareham is breaking the back of this run-chase! Fizzed through on a fullish length on off. Drops on Deol late and she is nowhere close to the pitch of the ball. Swings at it anyway and shanks it straight back to Wareham, who takes it smartly in front of her face. UPW in a greater spot of bother now!
