I think it was done intentionally to leave their conversation unresolved so the conflict could carry forward through the years from both sides. Before parting ways, Mannat felt that Vish was more important to him, as he left the conversation midway. On the other hand, Vik believes DK is her family and how fiercely she protecting him.
