For me, Yashika feels like a useless character who adds no extra value to the story. From the BTS, she comes across more like an extension of psycho Malla. It seems the makers have brought her to protect Vikrant’s izzat from Malla. In fact, both Malla and Yashika are likely to foil each other’s plans and moves. While Malla may not have emotional stakes in Vikrant life directly, she doesn’t want Yashika around him and the reason is obvious, access to wealth and decision-making power. Whereas Yashika holds stakes but Mannat entry will move her concerns for Vik in obsessions. Leena even appears a little older than Adnan. I find this addition below average.
Vikrant and Mannat parted ways seven years ago, and the separation was not mutual. Vikrant did come back, but Mannat rejected him and that rejection is what continues to hold him back, preventing him from truly moving on. His mind may have accepted the reality, but his heart refuses to let go. Through some gestures towards Yashika, he keep convincing himself that he has moved on, but the truth surfaces every time her name is mentioned and just hearing it is enough to trigger him anger overpowering all other emotions. Imagine what will happen when she will actually return, all his unresolved emotions will resurface. This time, Mannat will not return alone. She will come back with the other half of Vikrant’s soul little Dua. Her presence will slowly pull him back towards his real family, even if he initially resists it.
This marks the beginning of Vikrant’s journey a transition from Aman back to Vikrant as subplots unfold and truth begin to reveal and he will face a major emotional turmoil, Dua will heal her father just as she once healed Mannat. As per colors, promotional videos Mannat wants to protect Dua from her past and give her a happy life, while a broken Vikrant longs to experience that ehsaas once again. Their journeys are about to collide, and this time, the story will be driven equally from both perspectives.
