Smriti was also getting busy with politics so they needed another person who could carry the show and be a parallel lead. They had reached the end of the rope with the OG cast unless they adopted the Shahi route of showing every mundane part of their lives for years. Right from Shobha learning how to sit, to Saahil’s first day at school etc.

People had been used to drama on the show by then and these mundane moments would have been cute only for so long. So they opted for a leap and Hiten was fresh off of Kutumb which was successful and he was popular and is a good actor so he got cast as Karan.

Anyone who thinks Ekta can keep a show running for years without leaps has no clue how her shows operate.

In Kyunki’s case the new gen clicked and infused a freshness in the show and made sure it stayed at top, so she clearly did something right.

He met Mandira under circumstances beyond his control and which were not normal to put it. In fact she is the bigger culprit there not just because of what she would eventually do, but because as a doctor she crossed a line that she shouldn’t have when it came to a patient. She got too involved and in the process destroyed so many lives, including her own and that of her son. All for attaining the impossible and the forbidden, simply to satisfy her stubbornness.

Here he was completely in command of the situation and in-charge of his faculties. Here he had no obligation whatsoever that compelled him to do whatever it took for Noyna unlike the situation with Mandira. There he was genuinely grateful for her having saved his life and taking care of him for months. Even when he woke up from the coma, he was indebted to her for taking him in when he had no idea who he was and where to go.

You could slightly understand how muddled the situation was with Mandira. Why despite her lying and pretending to be pregnant with his child, Mihir still fell in a trap with her.

He has no such messed up cocktail of gratitude, humanity and compassion mixed with the genuine guilt of knowing that while he was unaware of his identity, there were moments between the two that led to a woman falling in love with him. The fact that she was heartbroken later and inadvertently so was her brother simply because Mihir turned up alive and found his family made matters complicated.

Here he was too stupid for words despite his age. Then he could at least blame youth and inexperience as well as a lack of guidance regarding what to do in a situation like this. What or who exactly can he blame here but himself and his absolute idiocy.

Yes Mandira appeared when Amar was there, but all third wheels appear in the beginning of the show. But they showed cheating later during Ronit time. The second gen leap was successful, so they didn’t have to show cheating then. They just brought it suddenly when ekta wanted to bring in Hithen as Karan to the show. So had to make a way for another son to come and also the OG male not being there anymore helped with carrying it out because I doubt they would’ve done if Amar was still playing the role. With ronit being there hardly anyone cared about TuHir

They wanted drama and for there to be some follow up to the Mandira situation.

Hiten could have easily played Mihir Tulsi’s younger son born as Shobha’s twin or maybe younger than her by a year… but that would have not lead to much drama and besides they could have simply cast another actor as Karan. But Ekta knew she needed someone capable to portray such a complex character with multiple shades, so she picked Hiten.

Hiten in an interview said, ekta wanted to cast him and gauri in kyunki or kahani as soon as kutumbh ended. Since post leap characters were already established, she got karan as a bonus deal... she could have casted him as ansh too...

Also gautam, damini and karan triangle was put, because gauri had a deal with Sony and had to do one more show. As soon as that ended, she too joined kyunki..

Mera fav dialogue tha aaj ka episode se ki Tulsi was asking her children to pray for her better future..which she did it so far ..😢😢

Khushi bhi hai dukh bhi...ki TuHir ko aur shayad naa dekh paun...😞😞

But yes eagerly waiting to see how Tulsi will start her life, how she's gonna included to VriDang 's life...what she will be doing as her new work ...will she start her new school to educate poor kids...educate girls mostly...yes it's also a mystery..

As well, I am wondering how PaRan shall react knowing all these...Mihir aaj bhi shayad inpe yakeen kare ....par hopefully Noina ko woh ab dekhna bhi naa chahta ho....

It's so thoughtful naa that how a good friendship can turn lethal....

Kya Mihir phir kabhi shaan se Noina ke ghar jaa payega jese pehle dono do insaan jese milte they...has ke baat karte they....kaam kiya karte they...abhi kese uske man mein kitna weirdness, hatred, bhar gaya hoga ....kya Noina bhi ussey kabhi shaan se nazar mila payega...if she really had good hear sometime... kya kabhi Noina ko ek saccha dosti khone ka gham hoga?? 🤔🤔

There is lot to think...

Seeing the episodes I can say that ...Kabhi Kabhi aage badh jaana, reh jaane se kai behtar hota hai...jo shayad 20's ke era mein nahi bataya gaya tha koi bhi Balaji show mein...they mostly emphasized women mostly to stay back and "Fight for the Right and justice"...to some extent it was not bad!!! they taught but how one can sit back knowing about cheating!!! ...if he did or not it's other thing... it's his/ her matter to prove it wrong ....but for that why an innocent should stay away from her life...her dreams...her identity....

Glad that...now they had shifted to the step of walking away from "Toxicity" rather than claiming the "Fight for the Rights" only ....and they had shifted only cos of the current situation and reality needed to be reflected in today's era... otherwise it had been of no change in the story.
