Nope . Not about chemistry. It's GREAT. I LOVE THE ACTORS, THE JODI AND THE CHEMISTRY. HOWEVER....The scenes feel romanticized already. I know some might disgaree with the 'they're being shown as soulmates' but for me? uhun uhun! i don't like the extreme proximity b/w them already. I wish they could give us a good platonic bonding first until she turns 18 and then proceed to proximity, intimacy and raabta stuff. Someone on TT told me that the chem is too good for platonic scenes which I disagree. The best romance is in the subtle scenes that reflect more on mutual understanding, trust and respect. I hope they handle the sensitive topic of child marriage well.

I live for Seher and Kauser's scenes. I wish fanpages hyped them as well. I'm watching the show for them. Kauser is a very, very brave woman and I love how Seher is not loud but she has that quiet resilience to stand up for her ammi. They kind of remind me of Anupriya and Kalyani (from Tujhse Hai Raabta). Also, Parveez reminds me of Sartaj (from the same show). I also like Parveez and Amaan/Imam/Imaan or whatever his daughter's name is.

I don't want to talk about Mahid because I am genuinely triggered by the misogyny. And I know this story is about his redemption too so I will wait for his character to unfold.smiley1

THE MEN IN THE SHOW ARE ALL RAGE BAITERS WITH THEIR OWN SHADE OF RED.smiley36

Agree. I am not comfortable showing romantic scenes between the two. Plus, Mahid is now in psycho phace and that is not good for any woman even if Sehar was an adult. He actively hates women and thinks they are there to ruin earth. So if such a man would get married, what would be the treatment of his wife? Yea, he would be awful.

Mother and daughter scenes are really well done and feel natural. Kausar feels like a real woman as opposed to one of those rhona dhona helpless types we usually see in dramas. She is constrained by her situation but she is still trying to figure out how to escape even in that cage. She is both helpless as well as courageous.

It’s so funny seeing Parvez actor play a negative character after playing a clownish one in Anupama smiley37

Nice to meet you again too smiley31

I will give the makers a pass as they’re Hindu so won’t know much about Islam.

I also find the Urdu of Hindi serials weird, compared to Pakistani serials smiley36

Age of consent is 18 in India and unless the makers want to get into trouble with the broadcast authority, they won't be able to show underage marriage. Let us not forget that there are NGOs as well as government agencies that are dedicated to keeping children safe. Any child can call 1098 for help and there have been news incidents where children have reported and said they do not want to get married. They were removed from the home. Given the seriousness of the issue, I do think the makers need to tread carefully. End of the day, it should not be seen as promoting child marriage.

Also, Mahid has serious trauma issues that make him unsuitable to be a partner at this stage. If he does not heal this trauma, he would be just as bad as a husband as Sehar's dad and she would suffer the same way as Kausar.

On another thought, I actually like the chemistry between Kausar and Fareed and the brief scenes between the two were interesting. Rather than Mahid and Sehar, I will be checking in for Kausar and Fareed.

yeah, its good to see kausar and fareed in one frame..especially when fareed caught kausar red-handed..mahir and sehar do perform good but separately..together, it doesn't click tbh..true, legal age for woman is 18...lets see what happens..

In the past that was ok. My mom got married when she was 15. My elder brother was born when she was 17.

my friend's maternal grandparents were married when they were 16 and this was in india but this was back in the 50s-60s at that time and it was done in their village at that time..
