wouldnt be surprised to see this to have a male child to impress the husband..

true. lets see what the makers have in mind. this is whats mainly bugging tbh..

FL is doing a really good job, considering this is her first show..And the ost man! Its so freaking good..The characters and the overall story too is interesting

Welcome to the magical land of Seher and Mahid.

I like this show for the same reasons you are liking it for.

I think Seher is 16 yrs old as said by her mother to her father . But Seher is very wise.. she lectured Mahid about mother and suicide, she is hafiz , and she is very intelligent. There are many girls who are 18 or even in their 20s who are less matured than she.

I just watched yesterday's ep. It was 40+ min long. And it was very interesting from word : go.

Seher goes out without full hijab. (I find her shifting from hijabi to non hijabi girl funny. smiley36 btw In the Turkish drama FL was wearing hijab even in her house which is strange) . Seher saw Mahid. She thought he was committing a suicide. So she ran to save him. He didn't recognize her I think.. but she reminded him that he saved her life once. Their scene was my fav. Their argument, and the way he kept coming close to her. smiley9 Their chemistry was top notch.

Rest of the ep.. I don't really care about. But the dargah scene and that celebration near it. In next ep we'll see Seher dancing and Mahid glances at her from a whole . All these things are not true Islamic things. However they happen in certain places.

seher and kausar's bonding is very nice to see. but still on the fence with the makers with the whole scenario now that seher is revealed to be 16 and how kausar was married off at 14 and doesn't want the same for her child...the turkish show seemed to focus on a secular community of turkey i think..lets see though lol

It happens even in Arab countries. Many girls get married at such young age. 16 is perfect for them. Of course law forbids this , but a parent of the girl changes her birth day to get away with it.

In the past that was ok. My mom got married when she was 15. My elder brother was born when she was 17.

I love the show so far. I love Rishita. She's a newbie but she has the charm the older ITV celebs use to have. She fits in really well for the age of Seher. HOWEVER, I am pissed with MaHer scenes. Nope . Not about chemistry. It's GREAT. I LOVE THE ACTORS, THE JODI AND THE CHEMISTRY. HOWEVER....The scenes feel romanticized already. I know some might disgaree with the 'they're being shown as soulmates' but for me? uhun uhun! i don't like the extreme proximity b/w them already. I wish they could give us a good platonic bonding first until she turns 18 and then proceed to proximity, intimacy and raabta stuff. Someone on TT told me that the chem is too good for platonic scenes which I disagree. The best romance is in the subtle scenes that reflect more on mutual understanding, trust and respect. I hope they handle the sensitive topic of child marriage well.

I live for Seher and Kauser's scenes. I wish fanpages hyped them as well. I'm watching the show for them. Kauser is a very, very brave woman and I love how Seher is not loud but she has that quiet resilience to stand up for her ammi. They kind of remind me of Anupriya and Kalyani (from Tujhse Hai Raabta). Also, Parveez reminds me of Sartaj (from the same show). I also like Parveez and Amaan/Imam/Imaan or whatever his daughter's name is.

I don't want to talk about Mahid because I am genuinely triggered by the misogyny. And I know this story is about his redemption too so I will wait for his character to unfold.smiley1

THE MEN IN THE SHOW ARE ALL RAGE BAITERS WITH THEIR OWN SHADE OF RED.smiley36

Age of consent is 18 in India and unless the makers want to get into trouble with the broadcast authority, they won't be able to show underage marriage. Let us not forget that there are NGOs as well as government agencies that are dedicated to keeping children safe. Any child can call 1098 for help and there have been news incidents where children have reported and said they do not want to get married. They were removed from the home. Given the seriousness of the issue, I do think the makers need to tread carefully. End of the day, it should not be seen as promoting child marriage.

Also, Mahid has serious trauma issues that make him unsuitable to be a partner at this stage. If he does not heal this trauma, he would be just as bad as a husband as Sehar's dad and she would suffer the same way as Kausar.

On another thought, I actually like the chemistry between Kausar and Fareed and the brief scenes between the two were interesting. Rather than Mahid and Sehar, I will be checking in for Kausar and Fareed.
