There is a huge, huge difference in 1 packed theater in India vs 15 cr collection (closer to actuals) vs 30 cr FAKE collection being reported.

In simpler terms: where you saw the film in a packed theatre (assuming in India), is just ONE theater in the country. Same with your friends.

No one is denying that perhaps it is a good film. Perhaps, some people are watching the film.

BUT, there is a HUGE difference, in 15 cr vs 30 cr. You can see that, right?

Even with 15 cr (closer to actual collections), there can be SOME packed theatres in India. Obviously, SOME PEOPLE are watching the film. But, to report collection of 30 CRORES, is totally BOGUS when the bullshit is being called out left, right, and centre.

There has been NOTHING to indicate so far that the film is performing well at mass centes. On the strength of urban centres alone, a film can only go so far, post pandemic.

BOI and Jatinder (Pinkvilla) are reporting openly about how the collections are a JOKE.....every day, there is massive SELF-BOOKINGS happening from the makers.

They are just NUMBERS being reported, NOT COLLECTIONS. Not a SOUL has a CLUE as to what the ACTUAL COLLECTIONS are.

my first Tweet itself said about this film, "the insecurities are LOUD". Indeed, they are!

Dhurandhar continued with its inflated numbers as the feeding spread to more cinemas than the first day. The first day the feeding was mainly concentrated on one chain but the second day saw this feeding go wider. The story of the film is something like the hero infiltrating the terrorists but here its become about infiltrating the multiplexes and buying tickets. The film itself may go not be able to go wider but makers have gone wider in buying tickets.

The venomous rant filled OP is not just amusing but revealed a new side of the user to me who I felt was a decent sort of unbiased chap and whose box office predictions I used to seek out. Well learnt my lesson now to never trust hardcore fans to be unbiased. And then the audacity to claim Harminder and Jatinder are unbiased when they are cut of the same cloth with the exact same biases. The same ones who remain mum during a Brahmastra and Pathaan are now screaming from pillar to post. Truly hilarious.

Chalo koi nahin. You all keep harping and crying about block bookings and make up numbers out of thin air, with no real way of determining the extent, while the movie makes its way to the hearts of people.
