If Dua is named Saluja... Vikrant Saluja is dead for practical purposes.... but 'his' parents... for whom Mannat fought may insist on it.

My point was not to questions ethics morals and societal norms.... but to look at it from ITV perspective...

There are many possible tracks/taunts/triggers for Vikrant when his child faces questions.... which are supposed to agitate him. Get him to work for making amends with his girls.

What would invoke more regret in Vik???? When he gets to know the entire truth and wants to assert his rights on his child????

What is going to upset him more??? Living as Aman or accepting himself as Vikrant????? I think he will realise he was better off as Saluja...

Vik meets her after 5 years, bonds and gets to know the truth... but he is living as Aman Kumar all this time and so when he claims his rights... Little Dua asks proofs of him being Vikrant Saluja(her father) and married to her mom. 😝😝😝

Dua is gonna be confused at first given 3 different surnames living under one roof😂 I still feel Dua will be Khanna only, Mannat will definitely honour Shruti by passing down the surname and given the fact that Dua is her own blood.

Knowing Dhairya, I think him giving his name might be out of pure concern of Mannat and the child, but I do feel Mannat will insist on keeping Khanna. It will be interesting to see how much Dua will know about her family background because Mannat has to keep in mind that rotu will also be with her. Mannat herself struggled with her bio mom's rejection so I doubt she will let her child face that harsh truth this early. This might result in her pushing Dua more towards Dhairya considering her own story is kinda similar as how her aunt gave her mother's love.

Looking at all the importance given to saboot and how Vikrant stressed everyone out, his karma will be his own child. Vikrant himself will struggle first to prove whether he is Kumar or Saluja and from that Dua's interrogation will start that he is either connected to her uncle or her grandparents, so how is he showing rights on her mother who is a Khanna? That's why I think Vikrant will be the one to bring up terrace shaadi to prove that he is married to Mannat. Vikrant better grows up post leap because looking at the mess, he has to do alot of heavylifting.

And from ITV perspective too, this adds a lot of masala and conflict if Mannat gives Dua her name. Like kidult pointed out Vikrant can think K is Kumar like DK and burn in jealousy while the truth would be K is khanna.

The way Aish and Vish brutally killed Shruti is disturbing, they will show it as an accident most likely. Shruti is a strong and important character in the story, and simply killing her off and calling it an accident does not justify good writing. It reflects poor storytelling. The truth must come out either Vikrant or Vish will have to face the consequences. Looking at the pattern, Aish had earlier murdered Sunita and did not face karma at that time, mainly because Sunita was not a significant character in the storyline. However, when Dadu was killed and additional murder attempts were shown, Aish finally landed in jail, though she later escaped. Now coming back to Shruti’s case, given her importance in the narrative, sweeping her death under the rug would not work. There has to be accountability. In most scenarios, it looks like Mona is leaving the show and a replacement will enter as Aish. If that happens, Aish may temporarily be shown as free from legal consequences in Shruti’s case. If instead Vish is revealed as the one who committed the crime, it will put Vikrant under immense guilt for trusting her despite constant warnings from Mannat and DK. In all the situations, Shruti have paid the price for Vik’s anger, trust issues, and negligence making the situation even more tragic.
