He looked quite contended with his first wife and kids in the pics. He looked happy with Hema because there was no guilt feeling in his mind as he lived with his first family and caring for both.

I think that Hema just tried to fulfill Dharmendra's wish by not giving media truthful updates about his condition... it anyways shows her love for him and giving respect to his privacy while dying.

The family and people close to him knew that Dharam ji was very ill and his health quickly declining. I admired his endeavour to still give his heart-felt performance in Rocky aur Rani (and the one in Ikkis certainly is a lovable, too). This outstanding Hindi movie icon really gave a lot of wonderful movies as legacy... in my thinking and feeling there isn't the notion of "loss" as he lived a long prolific life... he lived a very fulfilled life and was blessed to do so until it was his time to go.

That's why when Aamir was offered Darr, he wanted joint narration with Sunny Deol so that they r on the same page with role length and expectations.

But they did not agree and Aamir dropped out of the movie.

Imo, they did not wrong to Sunny...it was just that the intensity SRK put into his role was of another level as the intensity of the good man in the movie. There exist more than only a few movies where the antagonist overshadows the 'good boy'. Rahul was so clearly played as a truthfully love-obsessed disturbed and lost young man that the audience started to feel for him.

But competition and jealousy are inherent ingredients of a filmindustry (whichever)... and pointing to someone else is the easiest way to try to cope with a failure.

First this press media tried to defame them saying they never informed hema and esha deol ahana on dharmindra death

usually when a person dies at home family is in shock few hours they take time to come to reality and call everyone

and if one person is informed from relatives its his duty to tell other relatives

same with colleagues if sunny called up amitabh bachchan or shatrugan ji they can tell all Bollywood no

what do you expect sunny to do call 200 bolywood guys 200 friends and 50 relatives in 4 hours or prepare for funeral or take care of his mom and sisters younger brother who will be crying needs a brother son to console

these media ppl act so insensitive i wonder how they would behave feel if they were in sunny bobby esha place

next they will start controversy on property and wealth distribution between the 6 siblings - crazy ppl

they did same to karishma kapoor and her 2 kids when her ex hubby died and still doing as property issue in courts

Wasn't it on the premises of a hotel? Couldn't one ensure with respective security measures that no one from the press or similar could come near to the prayer meet? (I suppose, the Deol's also have the money to pay for tight security.) One also can put an official announcement that no photos are allowed during the prayer meet.

Unfortunately, times have changed in a way that certain values - respecting someones privacy, e.g. - have gone to the wall (bankrupt)...

Wonder who released pictures from inside the hotel event also. They could have told security to make reporters stand very far away.

Dharmendra ji was very cool and friendly with the paps always, wherever he met them.
