I would like to say a few words too...

Firstly, I want to appreciate Shibani and Vera for the awesome job they did with the BRC this month. smiley27 Thank you for stepping up and taking over during Lizzie's absence. Thank you for the time and efforts you guys put in to make this successful.

Kadyn, your sigs are really pretty.smiley27 Vera, I'm sure yours are equally as good, I have seen your creations before and I really like them so I'm sure iss baar bhi koi kami nahi hogi, and I really hope your sigs also get the recognition they deserve and won't be wasted due to this chaos.

Madz, I understand you have been busy and I honestly do appreciate you taking out time for us and your efforts for this forum and BRC while Lizzie is absent. I also know it's tough to fill in another person's shoes. That said, this month the BRC rights were given to Shibani and Vera, and I feel you should have let them handle it the way they wanted. You should've at least tried to communicate with them before taking over and posting the results, even if not them, you could have talked to the captains at least. What is the purpose of having team captains then?

I don't think Vera and Shibani are at any fault here tbh. You being a mod should have communicated them and kept a track of what's going on. All this drama would not have happened.

I just wanted to post my opinion. My intention wasn't to make anyone feel bad but I just felt that the organizers are not getting the respect they deserve here.

Vera and Shibani - You both are amazing organizers!smiley31

Vera and Shibz, you two have my heart smiley27 Taking on the reins of a ship that was already kinda unsteady couldn’t have been easy, but you both handled everything so smoothly that it never once felt like anything was off. Truly flawless work smiley32

I’m really sorry that after all that effort, you guys didn't get to conclude this the way you wanted. I’d feel so cheated if this happened to me 😭 I remember the thread Shreya mentioned, and I also remembered Lizzie saying whoever took on the responsibility would be fully in charge of BTRC.

I personally feel that responsibilities of this scale should only be taken on by someone who’s able to give it their 100%. And if someone is busy, going through things, or just not fully aware of the finer details (all of which are totally understandable tbh), then there should be a proper discussion with those who’ve been more closely involved. When it comes to BTRC specifically, I think we all know the few names who would’ve been able to help smooth that transition. It’s sad that a conversation like that probably didn’t happen, because imo it could’ve prevented so many of the problems we’ve seen lately.

I’m not sure how this miscommunication happened, but I do believe that staying informed about their forum’s goings-on is part of a moderator’s role. I would've thought a mod would've gone out of their way to ensure clarity and communication so new organisers can step into responsibilities seamlessly. But it seems my expectations for mod responsibilities might be different from whatever's expected currently, so I won't speak any further on that. I didn't even intend to speak this much, but I'm really having trouble wrapping my head around whatever just happened.

What I really wanted to say was that you both did an amazing job, and you have my full appreciation ❤️❤️

Firstly, congratulation to team Bookchester United (love this name) on winning this month and gorgeous siggies you made there, Kadyn <3

Big round of applause to Shibani and Vera for handling this month's reading challenge. You guys ran it quite smoothly. I loved the "badges" section in the spreadsheet just made everything crystal clear.

Being a captain was much easier than I thought and not that anybody would care, but I actually had fun designing my team's spreadsheet into something fancy, suiting the football theme🙈

And congrats to the monster readers, Ghum, Mrina, Vera, Bee and Shibani <3 <3
