I dont know i just find it odd that he lived a whole separate life with first wife and the second. i do feel bad for Hema and especially her daughters that they were not included in last rights. Not sure if they were even able to come say their final goodbyes.

They did came and said their last goodbyes saw a video and also when he was in hospital they were there too as there were reports. Since he is a hindu, rituals and rites are only done by sons. It have to be done by either sunny & bobby. Either one if i am not mistake i have seen that in my family younger son does for father and eldest son for mother

As for Hema Malini she is a homewrecker. As much Dharmendraji was wrong she is equally wrong too. As a women destroying another woman marriage its not like she was kept in dark or unknown to her that he is a married man with 4 kids. He brings his kids to sets too. The whole industry knows he was a married man with 4 kids. What she had with him was a extra-marital affair. Even her mother was not in favour from what i heard of,her mother was not in favour of her daughter to marry a married man with kids. No parents will accept it

I feel bad for the kids they did not deserve this. I feel awkward when people says they are beautiful off-screen. When this was created over wrecking a family

He did took care both his families of course separated to maintain peace but its just so awakward & messy

I just went down on rabbit hole researching Dharmendra life

- he married first wife at age of 21

- he married Hema at the age of 45, so like 25 years after being married to first wife.

- sunny deol was 22 when dharmendra married Hema, he debuted in movies 3 years later

- all the pictures of him i saw with Hema, he genuinely looks happy. Not sure if he was happily married with first wife or more like companionship. Reminds me of movie Bajirao-mastani!

Sunny Deol has (had?) a decades-long relationship with Dimple, but not openly affirmed - contrary to his father's relationship with Hema...

Hema and Sunny, both are BJP and had been MPs, so, I don't think that those kind of politics are responsible for the two separate prayer meets. Like in Dharmendra's life: two separate families albeit in the same city, two separate official adieus.

I just saw a reel from editor of times of india that Hema and kids were not notified before pulling plug on Dharmendra from ventilator, if true thats pretty shitty. No wonder Esha looked distraught going into funeral home, i dont think they were notified of his death and then funeral was so quick too.

Also pretty hypocritical of deol family, Sunny has had affair with Dimple for years, literally pictures of him picking his nose next to Dimple in London were all over few years back. Bobby also acts like his father is the example he wants his kids to follow, yet completely ignoring huge part of his life.

OMG that nose picking part lol. It's nasty that Hema's kids were excluded. They are as much of victims of the whole thing as the other kids .

This thread is about. the prayer meet they held for him which was called Celebration Of Life .This thread is not where the celebration is happening, it's about the prayer meet , which would lead to discussions on who attended ,who didn't and why. You are however free to create a thread to celebrate his life. That would be a lovely way for you to pay him your respects, instead of snapping like an Auntie .

Anyway nice to know that SD attended the other meet.
