How disastrous the teaser was..you can see by the sheer indifference.

SSR has more than 6 million followers on twitter. His teaser post got less than 10 million views.

Vanga and Nag Ashwin have less than 500K followers.Vanga got 14 million views on his DP rant and Nag Ashwin got 21 million. The quotes/comments are 4 times! Vanga got 107 K likes on his tweet!

Paid twitter handles can do NOTHING.I am sure that they are getting paid far less today.They get shamed in real time. People have eyes to see and judge films...Public have years/decades of experience to tell the good from the bad.

Thankfully,SSR PR is backtracking on the budget already. No one goes to watch films looking at the budget.

You’re totally out of touch with reality here. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are a lot of glaring loopholes in your theory.

Number of followers has nothing to do with the engagement of a tweet.

Also, comparing this with Vanga’s tweet is ridiculous. That tweet was about a top director bad-mouthing a top actress — doesn’t happen that often, and the last time it happened was in 2011 when Bhandarkar attacked Aishwarya in a similar fashion.

Obviously that will eyeballs, and lead to conversations around it, because it’s a highly contentious topic in itself.

Comparing that with a mere glimpse of a movie is silly. Still, I don’t think any movie in the recent years has that kind of excitement in the audiences the way Varanasi has shown. And the glimpse was tweeted simultaneously on multiple accounts, which divides the audience too.

This looks like a flop tbh. can be wrong.
