He doesn’t care about what she looks like because in his head he’s already formed an opinion based off of preconceived notions that got planted there thanks to her own mom.

This may not be a popular opinion but it’s a perfectly reasonable thing for Mihir to assume that the daughter is no different than the mother. After all the mother did legit try to get Mihir to pay a bill of 32 lakhs. That might not be a huge amount for him as a character but imagine someone trying to do this after they already made you pay 10 lakhs to give you an evidence to prove your son innocent. Then their daughter suddenly becomes your DIL out of nowhere, you have no clue that your son has been falling in love with her and she’s not greedy like her mother.

This would be anyone’s reaction, let alone of a man like Mihir who is said to be worth hundreds of crores if not more.

His reaction appears crass to us because we know Vrinda is not like her mom, but he doesn’t know that as Mihir, a man whose only acquaintance with the family has been only ever negative.
