There are batting concerns though and that is something that cannot be denied. Suryakumar has unfurled three enterprising cameos but a big score is what he would want to end the tour with.

The scrutiny over Shubman Gill's tempo and returns continues to grow while Abhishek Sharma too looked uncharacteristically scratchy for a good part of his stay on Friday.

Tilak Varma has not been able to reprise his Asia Cup heroics while Dube has been moved up and down the order with India looking to be very flexible. With a shot at winning the series well and truly on, it is unlikely that India make changes.

Thanks for the tag Madhu!

No comments and no predictions. Just want to enjoy the game.

But, it looks like rain may interrupt the game just like the 1st game.

Let us see.

Cheers..

Hello and welcome to the fifth and final T20I at the Gabba where conditions should be a lot more to the liking of the hosts than they were in the previous game. On a two-paced surface in Carrara, Australia found themselves strangled by the Indian spinners, led by Axar Patel, falling well short of the target of 168. They can't win the series now, but they do have the chance to level it at a venue where they've lost just one T20I out of eight. India, meanwhile, have maintained their brilliant T20I record in Australia where they've never lost a series. They're the number one team in the world for a reason and they've played like it. Will be a good challenge for them at the Gabba.

Pitch and conditions | Parthiv Patel: There are some cracks in the middle, will be some help for the new ball bowlers. Pitch is hard and there's even grass.

Suryakumar Yadav: Until you're winning the game and losing the toss, it's fine. Want to go out and express ourselves. Always good to understand what the team's goal is. All batters realised it wasn't a 200 wicket. All boxes ticked in the last game, just want to continue the same. Always good to win bilaterals. At the same time, what combination you want is more important. Other than openers, this is one format where everyone has to be flexible with batting positions. One change - Tilak is resting, Rinku comes in.

Australia have won the toss and have opted to field

Mitchell Marsh: Going to bowl first. Looks a good surface, always great to come here and play at this great stadium. Certainly a chance to draw the series. Lots to play for. Both teams have played some great cricket. Was bit of an indifferent surface. India bowled superbly. Different conditions tonight. No changes.
