regina was good too. the cast was so talented. no didnt watch wonderland, i think i stopped watching around dark emma part in s5?ish. rumplestinkin was such a pest lol i feel they couldnt decide if he was going to be villain or hero
Yeah, the cast was really good and the early seasons were amazing. They really should've ended the show earlier instead of dragging because it got convoluted. I watched until s6 properly. Then only parts of s7 because the actress who played Emma wasn't there and the storyline just didn't work for me. Rumple got good arcs but I feel like the writers needed stories for later seasons so he ends up relapsing. 😂. It was entertaining to watch and the actor was great so it never got frustrating for me.
same i am picky too lol..i think a bit thats an issue people who love to imagine and those who write face. i feel i am too critical. thats fine too, not everyone will love everything
I think being picky is great, hopefully reduces the amount of books you dislike! 😂 Life's too short to read something you're not enjoying, right. I feel like I'm getting more and more critical each year 😂. I used to have like 30 fav books of the year 10 years ago and now if I'm lucky, I'll have 4. Yes! Everyone has their own reading taste and there's something for everyone.
we need a new era of badass women, brave, winning the world, and letting the men know they need to be nice to people.
Yes! And being badass in different ways!
i hate how badass women often has to go through rape. like why? as a woman why would u write that as a sole reason for trauma?
As a fantasy reader, there are so many fantasy books which I've been avoiding picking up for this exact reason. And it's in a lot of genres too, actually. I really hate how common it is. What do you mean it's for character development?
you should read mindfck. the fl was fantastic.
Maybe one day.
whoa that friend...i had posted something similar yesterday in reddit. fanfic to book is hard. even if you write a fanfic, eg riya being doctor arjun being a ceo, you know their core characteristics. its just the backdrop changed. in books u cant establish that relationship with readers. i think this is where books and readers suffer.
fanfic does tropes better but again readers know how these charatcers will go. books these days just ticking off tropes, dont give any backstory, sometimes the side characters have more importance. these days stupid 7 part series with all characters is irritating to me. its like greed nothing else
Great minds think alike! Yes, exactly! The original work has done the hard job of creating characters you care about. I don't care what tropes you're using, give me a reason to get invested and care first.
Yes when the side characters get more attention is annoying. Plus, romance books seem to be getting longer and could easily lose 100-200 pages with good editing without affecting the story at all.
p and p movie and the series was great too. i love those elizabeth roasting darcy videos
Agreed!
i visit that romance book sub alot, they have some repeat recs like daydream unwanted wife etc. trying to slowly end the recs lol. there is also dark romance sub that mostly overlaps, with some insane trops that readers want. i dont judge though u do u lmao
Haha, that's true. I'm glad there's something for everyone out there, even if it's something I would never read myself.
my liking is very small. i dont like fantasy, dont like historical but depends on the mood. mostly thriller/crime genre. law enforcement stories, dynamic like two partners solving cases. the first ever series i read was in death, that was great.
Fair enough, I read a lot of genres so I find it easier to find romances that work for me because I'm not reading from the same sub-genre where all the tropes, characters and plots get repetitive for me. I do like the thriller/crime genre but I don't actually think I've read many romantic thriller/crime books. If I have, I can't remember them right now. 😂. But I do love the dynamic of 2 people working together for a common goal or being thrown together. I know I keep talking about it but Bones has that partner dynamic in the show as well. 😂. I will look into In Death. I haven't actually read Nora Roberts despite how many books she's written.
i used to write in forum then shifted to wattpad. very long ass stories i write lol. i am shy so i dont self promote
Long stories are best, haha. I haven't used Wattpad in a long time but I will definately read your work. I'm shy too which is why I usually lurk in the forum and don't comment.
yeah i was thinking abt this story yesterday and today too. if you know this song
against this song's backdrop how arjun goes to jail and slowly lose his mind, and maybe then an extended version where he escapes jail, torture rathore thinking he was in the lie with riya, but then rathore stays mum and arjun again thinks something is truly wrong with him. very dark interesting dynamic, bt it will hit only with arjun riya being very close and this twist.
I can imagine that, yes! Poor Rathore having to watch and maybe the one who needs to catch Arjun.
no issue lol i love long replies
😊
