Episode 6

Parvati seeing Adidev had a what to do face. Her mind didn't even give time to her to think about him. She was sure that she doesn't want Adidev in her life. She felt that her father is unnecessarily bringing Adidev in her life. She saw him as a destruction to her education only.

Raman(with a smile) : I am really so Happy in this alliance.

Jeydev: Haan we are too(he said it and saw Ishawari and exchanged a smile with her)

Raman: let me tell about my family too.My name is Raman Patel and you saw my wife Jaya patel. I have a elder daughter Anandi Mehra she is married to a farmer Raj mehra and they have a daughter named Anupama Mehra. They are living in a near by village. My 1st daughter has completed her 12th grade. (showing his son Dev to them) : He is my son Dev patel and he has completed his 10th grade and he is doing agriculture. I am having 1 hectare land and in that I am doing agriculture. This is only about our family.

Ishwari(with a smile) : so nice Bhaiya (seeing Parvati) : you also completed 12th grade Parvati?

Parvati(getting this as a chance) : Me... (before she tells the next word)

Raman: haan She has Also done her 12th grade only.

Parvati hearing it had a shocked face were she never expected Raman will tell such a big lie to them to get her married. She was getting anger on whole men society for taking women for granted.

Ishwari: so Bhaiya shall we do chandla vidhi today?

Raman: haan sure(seeing Jaya who was standing near the pillar) : Jaya bring Kumkum and clay container with sweets

Jaya(hearing it and now with a sorry face saw Parvati were Parvati too saw her mother with a worried face were Jaya now seeing her husband) : haan let me bring.

It was next 10 minutes were jaya brought clay container with sweets and kumkum in a tray and showed it to Raman who was now standing opposite to Adidev. Raman took the kumkum in the tray and kept kumkum on Adidev's forehead were Adidev gave a pleasant smile to him were Raman too smiling to him and took the clay pot with sweets from the tray and gave it in the hands of Adidev were Adidev got it from Raman with a same smile.

Raman(seeing Ishwari): Behanji Raju told me that your native is Shivpura only but you have settled in Mumbai.

Ishwari: Yes Bhaiya after Adidev was born itself we shifted from Shivpura to Mumbai and Adidev completed his studies in Mumbai only and he is doing his business also in Mumbai only. My daughter sona is doing her 12th grade.As sona was born late there is almost 10 years difference between Adidev and sona.

Raman: oh okay okay.

Parvati had a shocked face hearing what all Ishawari was telling she thought this groom is from nearby place to her village and in the corner of her heart she had a thought at least being near to the village she can try to go to college somehow but now getting that she need to go to Mumbai her whole dream got broken in front of her eyes. She got to know that her education is going to end here.

Raman: shall we fix the dates?

Jeydev: haan sure. We have our own house in viramgam town let us stay there until marriage is finished. Tomorrow evening if you will be able to invite all your relatives we can have engagement ceremony Tomorrow itself.

Raman: haan sure all our relatives are staying near by only so we can have the engagement Tommorrow.

Jeydev: Haan for us too we are going to invite our relatives in our village and town only so tomorrow is okay for us too.

All of them joined hands to each other and Adidev and his family started to walk out of the house were they went out and got in the car were car started to move from there.

Parvati(seeing her father) : why papa? Why you lied to them telling that I have studied only 12th grade?

Raman: see Parvati if you are more educated no man will marry you.

Parvati: Oh so nice papa. Why you didn't tell me they are from mumbai?

Raman: Parvati they are native of our Village only they have gone to mumbai for Jeydev job purpose and they have settled there itself.

Parvati: so I need to leave all my education as it is and I should go to Mumbai?

Raman: Forget about your education Parvati where Ram stays Sita should go with him. Where Adidev is taking you, you should go with him.

Parvati: at least you could have asked whether I like him or not know papa?

Raman: we don't have that kind of rituals In our house Parvati. What parents are telling daughter should accept it and make parents proud. I hope you will make me a proud parent. (Telling it he was about to walk were thinking something)

Raman: Don't try to do anything against me Parvati because my respect is in this marriage only if you think to do anything wrong in this marriage I will not be alive.

Parvati had a shocked face were she was getting sandwich between her education and her father.

NEXT DAY...

It was evening 6.30 were all the relatives of Adidev and Parvati family was present in Parvati's house. Adidev and Parvati were standing in the center of the house. Adidev was looking handsome in his sandal color pant and maroon color plain shirt were Parvati was looking gorgeous in her pink color lehenga and blouse were she was standing with a deadly face were finally the engagement was happening were Adidev got ring from Ishwari and he showed his hand to Parvati were Parvati seeing him a silent look gave her hand to him. Adidev casually made her wear the ring were Parvati too getting the ring from Jaya and showed her hand to Adidev were Adidev gave his hand to her were Parvati seeing Adidev a not liking look and she made him wear the ring.

Everyone clapped their hands for the engaged couple. Adidev stood near Parvati with casualness were Parvati stood near to him with a not liking face

Jeydev: Finally the engagement is done so I checked with out panditji he has given me 2 dates for marriage. March 12 which is coming 3 weeks later and the next date is June 12th.

Raman(thinking not to prolong Parvati's marriage): March 12th is fine.

Parvati(hearing it had a not okay face and in thoughts): why you created these men God? My father just want me to get married and go from here and he does not want me to study and on the other side(seeing Adidev in thoughts) :without even asking whether I like him or not he got engaged to me. Why he need to know whether I like him or not he wants a woman and for that they are marrying him and for the need of a woman he is shaking his head to his parents. For him and all he wants a woman in bed and want a baby from her that is only life for men like him.

The marriage date got fixed and finalized by all on March 12th.

Jeydev: my wife, me and my daughter are going to be in our house in viramgam town only. Adidev alone is leaving to Mumbai today due to his business but he will come by March 9th and be in the Marriage rituals.

Raman: haan okay okay business is important know let him go.

Adidev and his family now joining hands to everyone started to move from there were they got in the car and the car moved from there.

Once all the relatives left parvati sitting in her room and was removing her bangles from her hand slowly.

Nanavati(Parvati's friend came and sat in the bed opposite to her) : Parvati how this happened all of the sudden?

Parvati:we are in semester holidays 15 days of my semester holidays went well but after 15 days my father brought this alliance and now I am engaged.

Nanavati: Just one more year only know Parvati. Can I talk to your father?

Parvati: No Nanavati everything is over now I have to marry this Adidev who I never know before and then I need to go to Mumbai with him.Tk don't think about me you study well. And come to my marriage on March 12th.

Nanavati with a sad face shook her head as okay and started to move from there.

The camera panned over a big building were the building was looking so stylish and electronic secured in each and every place of the building. The board of the building said JD PETROCHEMICALS LIMITED. The camera panned to the 5th floor of the building were it panned to the AC room in the middle of the 5th floor. Adidev wearing a black pant and white shirt and was working in his Laptop.

While working he heard a knock in the door.

Adidev(pressing the unlock door button below the table and in a calm tone) : yes come in.

In the next moment his PA Ria dixit entered his cabin.

Ria: good morning sir

Adidev: Good morning Ria.

Ria: sir today you have a meeting by 2 o clock with our JD textiles private limited.

Adidev: Is it virtual connect?

Ria: Yes sir.

Adidev: okay I will be in meeting with them by 2 o clock.

Ria: okay sir and one more important message sir.

Adidev:haan

Ria:TM business magazine is wanting your appointment to take an interview from you. They are wanting to capture your image and print it as a cover Photo of their magazine.

Adidev: Ria just tell them that I don't have time for interview.

Ria: mmm okay sir

Adidev telling it was continuing his work in Laptop were as working seeing Ria not going from there.

Adidev: what happen Ria? Is there anything else?

Ria: your father started this business with small textile shop in the name of JD textiles. And then he made that business successful and made a very big brand name with many branches of JD textiles. Then 6 years back you took over the business and you gave rest to your father. You were so talented and successful than your father itself. You Started JD TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND JD PETROCHEMICALS LIMITED and you keep on expanding your businesses. All your businesses are running successful too. Last year you got a award for BEST BUSINESSMAN OF THE YEAR too but why you are avoiding this media? Why you don't like to show up yourself to TV channels or magazines?

Adidev: To be frank I don't have an answer for this Ria. I don't think so there is need for me to show up in front of media.

Ria: Sir as a employee let me tell you this you are the best employer you take care of us so well. I wish world should know you they should see such a good man like you.

Adidev(with a smile) : okay Ria if you feel that should happen definitely one day let me give a photograph to a magazine and give an interview too. But not now because I have lot of work in office at the same time I have some personal work as well so not now...

Ria: okay sir let me inform them and I will be waiting for the day to see your photo in any one business magazine.

Adidev: hmm okay

Ria giving a light smile to her boss and she started to move from there.

The day was moving and it was night 9 o clock were the camera panned around a big house which had a name board of JD Mansion.The camera panned inside the house were the house was having a vast hall were the camera panned to the first floor and it finally landed on Adidev's room. Adidev wearing a night pant and t shirt and was sitting in the king size bed. His room was looking classy were the reading tables, cushion sofas,head rest in bed, book shelves, dressing table, mirror etc each and every corner in his room and house expressed that he is a wealthy man.

Adidev turned on TV using the remote sitting in the bed were he started to watch cricket match.As he was watching the cricket match he heard a voice calling "Adidev".

Hearing this voice he saw the entrance of his room were he saw his friend kunal Singh.

Adidev(with smile) : Kunal (he turned off the TV)

Kunal(with happy smile came and sat in front of him in bed) : engaged??

Adidev(showing the Ring that Parvati made him wear) : haan

Kunal: How is your wife? Did you like her so much?

Adidev(in a calm tone):I don't know wheather I like her or not but Maa liked her so much so I got engaged.

Kunal: arrey your mama liked her that's nice but you would have seen her know? You should have got to know about her? Without to your control did she pull you towards her? Did your heart beat for her?

Adidev(laughing a bit):Kunal you are too filmy. See I already said this to you but also let me repeat. I never thought about getting married and to be frank I don't have any idea about marriage or love in my life. My maa is everything to me. Maa has never asked anything to me but now suddenly she told me that she want to see me married so for Maa I said I will Marry the girl she choose for me. She somehow through our relative in our native village has seen a bride and Maa liked her so much and I too said okay for the girl my Maa chose for me.

Kunal: Mmm no man can be like you Adidev. At the same time your Maa is lucky to have you as her son.

Adidev(gave a smile) :okay okay then March 9th I am leaving to village you too come with me after finishing my marriage come back to mumbai with us itself.

Kunal: haan let me come

Adidev: mmm

Kunal: Your fiancé name is... (before he tells)

Adidev: I already messaged you her name let me repeat this too. Her name is Parvati patel. She is daughter of a farmer and she has completed her 12th grade. She has a elder sister who is Already married and has a daughter and she has a elder brother doing agriculture.Is it enough?

Kunal: mmm okay but should your marriage happen in village only?

Adidev: why are you asking like this?

Kunal: Adi you are not like us.You are a wealthy man. You have achieved in business in short time. You have got a award of best businessman of the year. Almost many youngsters are using your name as inspiration.In short "BUSINESSMAN ADIDEV" name is becoming a brand. But your marriage happening in village without to any media intervention is not okay Adi.

Adidev: Kunal everyone is getting married. Just because I am wealthy my marriage should not be a great thing in world. More of everything Parvati family is a poor farmer family I don't wish to Show my money power to them and I don't want to make them feel low kunal. Just a simple marriage in the village and a simple receiption in our home for office employees and close friends.

Kunal(with a proud smile): I am proud of you Adi if you think you can even do your marriage as much as grand you can but you are thinking about the bride and her family status and you are not showing your money power to them that shows how down to earth you are. Really Parvati is very lucky to have you.

Adidev(giving a impossible head shake) : Kunal enough shall we go and play video games?

Kunal: Till you get married all these sports and video games is fine now you got engaged know call and talk to Parvati.

Adidev: I don't have her number and even if I have her number too I am not going to talk to her. It's not mandatory that If we get engaged we have to be talking to each other.

Kunal: Adidev let me tell you this, men who are like this now only will fall in love to extreme and I am sure one day you are going to be behind your wife madly and crazily.

Adidev(giving a impossible head shake to him): That let's see later now come let's play game.
