Yup, when you send in your story, just mention your chosen trope (Set A), Bollywood element (Set B), and character pairing right at the top of your entry.

The genre’s fixed — it should fall under Romance / Drama / Bollywood, but you can totally play around within that.😝

And Rahul from Darr isn’t there just because I had to limit the list to 6 characters per Khan, otherwise the list would’ve gone on forever 😅

For the leading lady, pick any heroine from the movies mentioned — and yup, you can mix and match (like Prem from MPK with Tina from KKHH). No made-up heroines for this one 💫

If I send 2 stories, should they be sent separately?

Not necessarily. But be sure to send both your book covers as well and tell me who the partner is beforehand.

1. No — the word limit is 1100 to 1300 words and the story must be submitted as a single entry. Please keep your story within this range.

2. You’ll need to choose a leading lady from the movies listed under the Character List. You can, however, mix and match! No new leading characters.

For example: Raj Malhotra (DDLJ) paired with Nisha (HAHK)

Didn't notice the female characters, sorry 😅

3. Not exactly. Your story should capture the essence of the 90s Khan era — the romance, drama, nostalgia, and feel of that time — but it doesn’t have to retell or continue the original movie. You can reinterpret or reimagine the character in a new setting or story, as long as you’re following your chosen trope set.

@b: really ? smiley3 me and Bollywood aren't the bestest of friends smiley37 I honestly haven't watched much -- maybe I should reconsider participating 😂 thanks for the clarification & sorry for misleading wallflowergirl.

I haven’t listed the leading ladies but you can check the movies in the character list and mix and match the hero with a leading lady if another movie within that list.

Clearly mentioned the same in the rules too.

Apologies, I misunderstood then. Thank you for the clarification!

Mrina, one doubt.

Can we change the character of the character -- that is you have mentioned

Prem Nath (Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!, 1994) – Traditional, caring, devoted to family and love.

Could I change him to be modern, free spirited, etc., ? Or should I stick what you have described or how they were in the film ?

That you can reimagine but still keep the essence of the character.
