The inevitable has happened. Pakistan were so near yet so far. The points have been split. They would be devastated having not got the chance to complete this game. The only portion of the game that went in favour of England was when the rains relented and the game was reduced to 31 overs a side contest. England did add some quick runs. Pakistan though started very strongly in their reply of 113 (DLS) from 31 overs. They were 34 for no loss in 6.4 overs when the heavens opened up again and the match had to be called off. This is the third game that has been rained off. And all of them have been at Colombo. We will be back tomorrow with another game from the Women's WC.

Alyssa Healy: Look I would have loved to bat. Good breeze, would help the girls. Beautiful place to play cricket. Great crowd. Two changes. Darcie Brown gets the nod and am happy to see what she does.

Nigar Sultana: We wanted to bat first. Seeing the conditions we wanted to put runs on the board. We were short on 30-40 runs in the last game. We have two changes. The thing is we do have a good bowling side. We had to give rest so that they can recover for the last few games. Hard to recover I know. We wont compromise on any game..
