We can talk about the money,Raha's Van etc. Everybody is talking ,that is the whole point. Samosas are hate tweeting. Rhea Kapoor liked 2 reels supporting DP. Never mind who is right or wrong. Shirin called Deepika a disrupter,among some very heavy praises. Nobody has forgotten Cheater,condom,cleavage,JNU,Maal,orange bikini,10 crore bounty .

This forum is an example. Why do people open so many threads bashing Deepika? She is a person of interest,a great deal of interest.

DP walked a few steps with RK..big BW insta accounts couldn't stop making reels.

BUT,this discussion is important. Many more will join in the conversation. It is about time.

This whole conversation wouldn’t even exist if Deepika wasn’t such a has-been to begin with. At this stage in her career, when the only roles coming her way are SRK’s onscreen mom parts, it takes serious delusion to start making demands about 8 hour shifts or whatever nonsense she’s on about. In 2014, maybe producers would’ve agreed without blinking. Now it’s just them saying she’s not worth it anymore. And, as usual she spun the whole thing into a fake woke narrative about industry reform. There’s nothing worthy or admirable about being talked about by Indian media, they’ll grab the most nonsensical thing and turn it into a headline. At this point, stars of her stature should be aiming for respect and a sense of legacy. Instead, Deepika’s become the punchline everyone’s laughing at.

This has nothing to do with demands, work hours, women rights, feminist crusaders or whatever BS Deepika & her PR is trying to spin here.

This is simply about strong arming the producers & negotiating in bad faith. Timing is everything here. If she chose to keep these demands when the producers first came to her, there would be no controversy. They would simply walk away. But she chose to do this after she had already shot for 20 days. In Vanga's case, after the media reports had been published. In business, Sketchy practices like these would ruin a business and its reputation.

Diwali is on the way. Imagine you hired a contractor to Re-paint your whole house. Negotiations done, contract signed. Now they remove all the paint, bare walls and come up to you and demand a higher price if you want the job done on time. This is essentially what Deepika did. They know they have you, your only choice is to find someone last minute or pay them more. The southern producers, props to them, decided to take the loss instead of bending to her demands.

Her reputation is destroyed. Producers will think twice before hiring her again no matter the media narrative. The good news is she doesnt pull these shady stunts in Bollywood. Either way, theres nothing controversial here...there's a clear right/wrong here. And anyone supporting Padu is letting their Fandom get in the way of clear thinking.

Lastly, I hope there's legal action against her to recoup the losses.

I don't agree that her reputation is destroyed. Infact,people get impressed by those who they can't destroy.The union Govt has appointed Deepika as their mental health ambassador. The PM tweeted once about her mental health initiative.

What she shot had been during the schedules for the first Kalki movie for which she already got payed... from Deepika's side, she did the work they commanded. They don't want her for a (perhaps-)sequal anymore? - their loss...
