Jaiswal’s century has put India in the driver’s seat within a couple of sessions in this Test. The hosts did lose Rahul in the morning session, but since then, Jaiswal and Sudharsan have taken control of proceedings. Greaves created a chance before the tea break, but Warrican couldn’t hold on to a straightforward catch at mid-wicket, giving Sudharsan a lifeline. With the pitch looking good for batting, India will be keen to pile on the runs going forward. Jaiswal, in sublime touch, will look to convert his hundred into a big one, while at the other end, Sudharsan edges closer to his maiden Test ton. The West Indian bowlers have thrown everything at the Indian batters, but without much reward. The pacers have struggled to make an impact, while among the spinners, only Warrican has managed to find some success. They haven’t conceded any extras and have been disciplined, however, they’ll need to come up with sharper plans if they’re to make any inroads into this strong Indian batting lineup.
