Having said that this gen leads for all the name calling they get subjected to seem to be the only lead couple across itv in current times who has consistently maintained for so long both online popularity as well as decent trp numbers. And for good or bad the gen has survived this long and beyond everyone's initial expectations. This is inspite of the fact that none of the cameos made any significant impact and got exit fairly quickly - unlike the previous gens. So yes inspite of all the complaints we are still here discussing the show, show is consistently in top 5, sm traction is strong .... makers and channel seem to be getting what they want.

Yup - EOD the makers and the channel are both getting what they want from the audience they want. The others are really not ones they bother much with

But this post is about the generation as a whole and not one single character ..whether he is better or worse than other MLs is not the topic of debate :)

For me this poor characterisation of ML which is the main force and protagonist destroyed the entire serial ...

That is why I say rest of the characters are as usual " patriarchy " , orthodox , aristocratic ML family looking down on poor & orphaned FL...This kind of stories have shown repeatedly but never seen an ML like this which made the entire season a " joke".Now a days it has turned " hilarious "

Havnt watched any other gen but out of the shows I have watched Gen 4 seems to have worst writing , let's be honest writing has been abysmal with each track and more so since that 5 months leap for surrogacy. They start a track, dive deep into the rabbit hole and when they realise it isn't working they completely brush it off and jump to next without addressing or having a proper closure to the previous track. The characters haven't been consistent, no arguments on the need to change characters based on track, but here characters flip on days basis sometimes scene basis.

Funnily I remember ristha was always branded as a show different from usual itv shows. A show known for festivities, weddings, and positivity with a decent share in drama as well. Unfortunately none of that holds true for the show currently. Ristha as a brand that used to be isn't the same anymore. Forget of different gens the writing has deteriorated so much within the gen it self. While itv thrives currently on high drama, Ristha has always let go of tracks with possibility of generating decent amount of drama. While the writing is absolutely BS, kudos to the actors specially our leads Rohit and Samriddhi for still giving their best to this show in each track.
