I was only wanting to make it fair to all teams, since I don't want only the fast readers to grab all the remaining tasks. Hence was thinking of capping it to a max of 5 books per person.

No I mean just say that 48 hours are over and let us divide and conquer. It's a headache for captains and for all team members who are active. The 2 books per person for the badge is separate so let's not mix it. If someone isn't participating, then they are forfeiting the badge. Simple as that.

And yes cap it to 5 tasks per person. That works.

Okay so everyone heads up!

You need to wait only 48 hours for someone to 'claim' their task for the badge.

If they don't do that, their tasks are up for grabs by the other team members and they forfeit the badge!

So instead of waiting till Oct 7, you only have to wait until oct 5.

Also, all team captains, please edit the first page of your team's Bingo thread to let me know who has claimed what task.

Additionally, I'm capping the number of tasks any one person on the team can do to a max of 5.

Also, since I got this question - anyone can from the team can tag me once you have a complete line- doesn't necessarily have to be the Captain. Just that the post you make needs to have links to all the completed tasks to the line your team is claiming.

Marauders teammates all agree with a cap of 5 tasks max per member. Of course, the slow readers among the team will complete their minimum two tasks to qualify for the badge.

I really REALLY wanted to give genuine tips to ease the trouble but the bhoot from the book I'm reading is slowly getting in my head and I want to mess this up bad

Why not make it a member can't read more than 3 books in a row/diagonal/color group!

No worries Riya. Find someone to run challenges by. I have someone I run some game ideas by even if they're going to play because this ensures that what I thought out makes sense as well. Sometimes in our brain it all works, and then the breaking starts later.

Hey! You have been managing the challenges wonderfully so far . Accommodating and making adjustments is a part of this... since it's the first time something like this is being hosted. You listened to the participants and come upon a solution that is fair to everyone... that's the best trait an organizer / host could have .

Don't beat yourself up over this... the Bingo challenge has our group practically buzzing... so the overall objective of the reading challenge (to motivate everyone to read more) is definitely working

Does it help if I capped the max number of books one person can contribute for Bingo? Let's say a team has 8 or 9 members so that leaves them with either 9 or 7 tasks left to do. So I make it that each team member cannot read more than 5 books. In which case, all the remaining 7/9 tasks cannot be taken up by the monster readers like Vera, Shibz, WD and the likes of them.

But what you said, Stuti, also makes sense. If I have assurance that all the remaining tasks aren't being done by the fast readers, and that you'll leave some of it for the slower paced ones, then it should be okay I suppose.

Captains, please weigh in on this - lemme know what sounds best to y'all after discussing with your teams.

monsoon_barsha from my team hasn't responded to tags/PM.

Sach batau toh I can't figure out how to get everything done. Some are active, some check in once in a while, toh co-ordinate karna mushkil ho raha hai. Ok Lizzie, we will keep your recent instructions in mind, and change our discussions according to that.

@b: should I be proud that because of us you are adding new rules or embarrassed ?

I have asked my team but mostly people should be okay with taking 5 per head.
