Tariffs are not limited to India or Bollywood, he has imposed 100% tariffs on every movie being made *outside* of USA

So, if a Bollywood movie is shot in USA, they don't have to pay tariff, I think big producers will find alternatives

For small ones from India, North America is not a big market

Most affected will be Punjabi, Telugu and Tamil film industry as a big chunk of their revenue is from North America

How soon do you really think things will change after his term ends though? The policies and laws he’s pushing will probably take years to undo even if a Democrat wins next (and that’s only if they actually plan to overturn them). The whole punish India stance doesn’t feel like just his personal agenda either, it lines up with America’s broader interests. Basically, work for them and turn against China, or get punished. The folks who are attributing this to Modi’s failure are no less ignorant than the ones who celebrated Trump’s winning the last year’s elections. Both these people are delusional to think Trump or America care for India or any other country other than himself and his country’s interests. It’s this ignorance which will forever keep India on the back-foot and in the shadows of America and even China…1.5 billion people with an average IQ of 50. How embarrassing !
