He wanted to become captain now because there was no task. If he really feels that captaincy will be his first step towards redemption, then why hasn’t he taken tasks seriously until now??

Yeh Gk ki apni responsiblity hai aur more than contestants it's sallu and BB who asked him to play on front foot. Front foot py khel ky gk kisi py ehsaan thodi naa karey gaa. It's for himself only.

He was not upset about the captaincy he was more upset about the backfoot tag and since he vented out at that moment it looks like he is concerned about captaincy but that's none of his concerns as per what he said. His main point is they have no right to say that he plays on backfoot if they themselves gets influenced or sugar coats. He has been frustrated since that backfoot task
