When I am discussing about Jhanvi, why should I NOT bring the Nepo discussion ? Who, with that looks and acting chops will get a chance in film industry mainstream if she were not a nepo ? I cant recall a single worst looker and actor (deadly combination) than her to be introduced in BW with main actress vibe.

Nobody goes to watch RRR’s films either. But his movies get searched in OTT. Even his worst performance movies have high OTT watch history, not even talking about performance driven movies till 2000 or so. Any thoughts on such audience pull from Jhanvi ? She just takes some good scripts and ruins it with her talent for ever !

P.S. - I dont even think of her as Sri Devi’s daughter. Like it hurts to take these 2 names in one sentence. She’s a standard Nepo industry kid for me.

Rao's box office record is not good but he also started his career with small films where he was not the lead, he has also done many supporting roles . Is Jahnvi ready to act in supporting roles to further her career? She won't need to. She will continue to get lead roles despite several flops.

I voted no, for two reasons.

One, Janhvi isn’t a great actress by any means but she’s nowhere near as bad as this forum is trying to make her be. Perception of talent within social media is very much like a mob mentality. All it takes is one opinion in the beginning to stick and then everyone repeats it over and over for years to come. Most of them probably hadn’t even seen the movie or acting in question. This actually applies to both opinions of bad acting or good acting. Not every actor/actress out there that has a reputation of being good is actually good.

Second, it’s 2025. Careers don’t, and shouldn’t, end after marriage now. I found the association problematic.

Rajkumar rao is almost legendary compared to Janhvi.

kangna has given many flops but will she be considered less successful compared to Jahnvi kapoor? I don't think so.

Janhvi is completely flop actress. she is like Kajol's sister and Shilpa shetty's sister. At least they stopped getting movies. but Janhvi keeps getting movies because of her connections.

She is really a pathetic actress, so she really must retire

There are - at least - two movies (or 3 or 4) where she got casted... the Varun movie is coming in October, Peddi with Ram Charan is slated for March 2026 and then ... isn't the Vicky Kaushal Mahavatar-movie also with her? As for the Ayushmann film (Sunday, directed by Anurag Kashyap's sister), I don't know if that movie will even get made...and isn't she also in the Atlee movie???
