Chhotu trailed taking a spoonful rice mixed with curry inside his mouth and couldn't open his mouth to speak.

"Chhotu tum khana hi kha lo pura."

Shree eyed him then at Sakshi , Liza , continuing speaking.

"Aur jo bhi kehna hai Ri ko bolo.

Usse sab kuch pata tha phir bhi hame nahi bataya."

Riya looked up from her plate , guiltily.

Ayesha reasoned , thus Riya turned to her apologetically.

Chhotu chuckled.

"Mai puchhungi na. Mai bureau jaake sawal karne wali hun Arjun ko."

Sakshi prompted making Liza chuckle while Riya and others kept mum focusing on their food.

"wese Arjun sir se yaad aya Riya tumne humme se kisiko kuch nahi bataya per Arjun sir ko sab bol diya tha.?"

Chhotu asked after few minutes of silence.

"Nahi chhotu maine ni bataya unhe.

Vo toh sir ne vo notes dekh liya aur unhe pata chal gaya. "

Riya answered him.

"Phir bhi mujhe achha laga ki tum aur Arjun sir milke Rathore sir ki help kar rahe the case me , at least Rathore sir akele toh nahi the.

Hum sabke mukable Arjun sir ke sath tumhari bonding achhi ho gayi hai thodi ,unhone tumhe good job bhi bola."

Ayesha smiled.

"Arey haan yaad hai sir kaise jaate jaate ruk gaye phir mude aur bola " Good job"."

Shree imitated Arjun's voice.

"Good job Riya bolte toh thoda aur feel aata nahi.?"

Chhotu joked.

"Guys stop it. Khana khatam karo jaldi bureau wapas bhi jaana hai."

Riya reminded them suppressing her smile.

"nahi nahi goggle utar ke bolte toh aur feel aata."

Shree , chhotu continued their jokes while Sakshi kept eyeing them silently.

After finishing their lunch they walked out of the restaurant tp leave for the bureau, chitchatting among themselves.

"Rathore sir ghar chale gaye na.?"

Riya asked Ayesha.

"Haan. Pehle toh maan hi nahi rahe the, per maine unhe zabardasti bhej diya. Thoda aaram karenge toh achha lagega unhe."

Ayesha answered.

"Hm achha kiya."

Riya nodded her head.

"Toh kya final kiya , kya puchhogi jaake Arjun sir ko.?"

Liza nudged Sakshi.

"Mai soch rahi thi rehne deti hun, wese bhi vo kahan batane wala hai mujhe kuch."

Sakshi murmured in a low voice.

"Arey itna jaldi giveup kar diya.?"

Liza joked, to which Sakshi smiled keeping mum.

For the next two days they worked on the paper works in the bureau with snacks, tea-breaks since their one chief was resting at home and the other one was emerged in his own world in his cabin, hence they took the advantage of the once in lifetime opportunity.

It was another regular morning when Riya was the first to arrive to the bureau and went to the conference hall to put the file Arjun had asked for last night ,when her gaze fell on the white envelope on the center of the table.

She picked it up unsealing it curiously only to find the group photos inside ,they had taken on the day of DGP retirement farewell lunch party.

Her lips curved in to a smile looking at those pictures of all of them together , as she looked through them one after another until her hands ceased at a particular one and her smile got replaced by amazement and her eyes softened.

Everyone else was looking at the camera happily except her and Arjun ,looking at each other with her staring at him with a little mix of shock and content expression while he was looking back at her with an unreadable expression on his face. Or maybe it was his regular stern face, she couldn't differentiate at that moment.

She hadn't even realized the photo was taken back then until now ,and she wished she could stare at him again just like in the photo even though he wouldn't look back this time.

The footsteps approaching from behind made her alert that instant and she hid that particular photo in the file straightening up herself, putting the other photos on the table.

"Good morning sir."

She greeted finding the person was none other than the man she was thinking of.

"Last case file kahan hai.?"

Arjun asked straight, thus she picked up the file near her hand forwarding it to him but then pulled it back swiftly before he could take it.

He stared up to her confused, while she clutched the file tightly keeping it away from his reach.

"Sir vo file complete nahi hui hai."

She reasoned.

"Kal tak toh complete thi."

He chirped still eyeing her quizzically.

"Vo isme kuch errors hai mai aapko thik karke deti hun sir."

She took steps backwards before exiting the conference hall quickly , while he stood watching her retreating figure and was about to leave as well but stopped as soon as his gaze fell on the photos on the table.

He just glanced at them from a far and left to his cabin , meanwhile Riya pulled out the photo she had put inside the file and placed it delicately in a diary in her drawer ,breathing in relief.

Arjun was looking through some papers in his cabin when he heard a knock on the door and Riya came in putting the file on the table.

He stared at the file then at her with a blank look since it wasn't even two minutes of her running out of the conference hall to rectify the file, and hence she spoke up clearing her throat a bit.

"Aap ne thik kaha tha sir file complete hai , aur koi error bhi nahi hai."

And she left without waiting for his reaction.

Soon enough the other members came walking in and they started talking over the photos, just when Rathore entered in.

"Good morning team."

Everyone stopped their chitchats turning their heads to him and stood up smiling.

Even though they enjoyed the break time , still they missed their chief and his deadlines.

"Good morning sir."

Everyone chorused.

"sir aap thik hain abhi.?"

"Rest karke accha lag raha hai sir.?"

"Sameer ek aur din ki chhuti le lete."

Rathore smiled at their questions and spoke up.

"Mai thik hun abhi. Aur chhuti ki jarurat nahi hai."

"sir humne aapko bahut miss kiya."

Shree smiled.

"Acha? Abhi yahan mere aane se pehle lag nahi raha tha tum log kahin se bhi mujhe miss kar rahe the."

Rathore said cockily , before adding.

"I hope sab apna apna kaam khatam karke enjoy kar rahe the, aur sabke reports mere table pe hai."

"Lo shuru hogaye sir aate hi."

Chhotu muttered under his breathe, while others shrunk up on their respective seats.

Just then Arjun came out of his cabin making Rathore turn to him and both exchanged a silent look , before Arjun moved his gaze to Rathore's back to the entrance from where the guard came in with a woman.

"Sir mai inki hi baat kar raha tha, ye aap se milna chahti thi. "

The guard said eyeing the woman beside him then at Arjun.

"Kaun hain aap.?"

Rathore asked turning around to face them.

"Hello sir mera naam Kavya hai , Kavya Kapoor. Mujhe aap logon se kuch baat karni thi, mai bahut umeed ke sath yahan aayi hun toh kya aap log meri baat sunenge.?"

The woman said politely ,thus Rathore nodded positively motioning the guard to leave.

"kahiye kya baat karni hai aapko.?"

Rathore asked once after they escorted the woman to the waiting room.

"Sir mujhe aapki help chahiye, mere pati Rajan Kapoor pichhle 7 din se laapata hain.

Aap log meri help kijiye please unhe dhundne me."

"Aapke pati laapata hai, kahan se.?"

Riya asked first.

"Apni business trip se, vo ek hafte pehle nikle the Banglore ke liye per wahan pahunche hi nahi aur na vo ghar wapas aaye."

"Aapke pati kaam kya karte hain.?"

Ayesha asked next.

"Hamara textile ka business hai.

The woman explained in a quivering voice.

Shree pointed out.

"Nahi vo mujhse jhuth kyun bolenge? Aur agar kahin aur gaye bhi hain toh ab tak wapas kyun nahi aaye ? Unka phone bhi switch off hai itne dino se , vo aesa kabhi nahi karte."

"Aapne last kab baat ki thi apne pati se.?"

Arjun asked.

"Ji vo airport pe the tab. Unhone call Kiya tha ki vo Bangalore pahunchte hi mujhe phone karenge. Per phir unka koi phone ni aya ,aur jab maine phone Kiya tha unka phone switch off tha."

"kya isse pehle bhi aesa kabhi hua hai ki vo bina bataye kahin chale gaye ho.?"

Chhotu questioned.

"Nahi sir issliye toh mujhe zyada darr lag raha hai, vo kahin jaruri kaam se agar jaate hain toh bhi office me unki secretary ko keh ke jaate hain mujhe inform karne ke liye."

Came the woman's fast answer.

"Police ne unke office me puch tach ki thi.?"

Sakshi asked this time.

"Haan Police unke office aur mere saural bhi gayi thi , per kuch pata nahi chal paa raha hai.

Waqt beeta jaa raha hai aur mujhe darr hai itni dair me unhe kuch ho na gaya ho issliye mai ETF ki help maangne chali aayi."

The woman looked at them hopefully.

"Kya aapke sasural wale aapse alag rehte hain.?"

Riya questioned.

"ji haan. Ye Rajan ka hi faisla tha ki hum alag rahe."

Riya asked again.

"Vo darsal ye hum dono ki dusri shadi hai.

The woman wiped tears from her cheeks lowering her gaze.

"Dekhiye mam hum aapki pareshani samajh sakte hain per local police already ye case handle kar rahi hai issliye ETF isme interfere nahi kar sakta."

Rathore clarified, and watched the woman looking up to him with tear-filled eyes.

"Sir aap aesa mat kahiye please.

Police iss case ko mamuli case samajh ke bahut time le rahi hai , kahin iss bich Rajan ko kuch ho na jaye.

Rathore released a sigh turning to Arjun with a questioning look and Arjun just nodded his head lightly.

"Thik hai abhi hum aapka case directly nahi le rahe hain , per hum aapke liiye jaake puch tach kar sakte hain . Phir hum tay karenge case local police ke paas hi rahegi ya ETF handle karega."

Rathore announced, causing the woman's face to lighten up instantly and she stood up smiling through her tears.

"Rawte , Sakshi,Chhotu tum log Rajan ke office me puch tach karo, Shree, Ayesha tum dono local police se baat karo case kahan tak progress hua hai. Mai aur Riya Rajan ke ghar walon se milke aate hain."

Rathore commanded and everyone obeyed walking away for their respective tasks.

Chhotu murmured walking inside the office that looked like a luxurious workplace from inside.

"Ye paison walon ke hi zyada dushman hote hain."

Sakshi commented roaming her eyes around.

"Sahi keh rahi ho."

Chhotu agreed to her nodding head, when a man approached Arjun who was walking ahead of them.

"Sir boliye kisse milna hai aapko.?"

The man asked politely,and Arjun brought out his badge from pocket.

"ETF."

"oh .sir Rajan sir ke baare me kuch pata chala.?"

The man asked.

"Nahi hum ussi case ko leke puch tach karne aaye hain.

Tum kaun ho.?"

Arjun asked back.

"Sir mera naam Sashi hai. Mai Rajan sir ka secretary hun."

The man answered.

"Oh tum secretary ho toh tumhe toh pata hi hoga tumhare sir kahan gaye hain.?"

Sakshi questioned.

"um mujhe nahi pata sir kahan gaye hain.

Hum khud wait kar rahe hain sir ke lautne ka."

Sashi replied.

"Banglore me vo kisse milne jaane wale the,vo toh tumhe pata hi hoga."

Arjun asked next.

"Darsal sir Bangalore me kisi kaam ke liye jaane wale hi nahi the.

Mujhe hairani hui jab madam ne kaha ki sir ne unhe business trip ke liye Bangalore jaa rahe hain aesa bolke gaye hain.

Jabki sir ki sari schedule toh mere pass hai ,aur aese koi trip nahi hai unki schedule me."

Sashi explained.

"Iska matlab unhone jaan bujh ke apne biwi se jhuth bola tha."

Sakshi pointed out.

"koi aesi jagah hai jahan vo bina kisiko bataye jaate the? Secretary ko toh sab pata hota hai na."

Chhotu narrowed his gaze.

"Um sir ka farmhouse hai Lonavala me ,sir kabhi kabhi wahan relax hone ke liye jaate the .

Per maine suna hai police wahan gayi thi aur sir ni mile the."

"Unka koi dushman ? Ya koi aesa jisse vo pareshan ho.?"

Arjun looked at him intently,and watched the secretary's face breaking into a mocking smile.

"Ab sir bade logon ke paas jitne paise nahi hote utne unke paas dushman hote hain ,khas karke Rajan sir jaise logon ke."

"Matlab.?"

Sakshi asked,confused.

"Um sabko industry me pata hai Rajan sir kaise hain.

Unke paas Paisa aur power hai bas issliye koi direct action nahi le paata,nahi toh unke khilaf khade hone wale bahut hain.

Issliye unke dost kam aur dushman zyada hain."

"Kya unn dushmano me tumhara bhi naam hai.?"

Arjun asked straight,making the man's head whip to him in surprise.

"sir matlab.?"

"Jitna puchha jaaye utna hi jawab do.

Samjhe ya samjhaoon.?"

"uh sorry sir.

Hamare industry me kuch tough competitors hain jo sir ko zyada pasand nahi karte. Official parties me aksar kaha suni ho jaati hai.

Chhotu asked.

"Sir vo company shares ko leke. Phir unhone case wapas bhi le liya tha ,per usse pehle office me bahut bada jhagda hua tha dono ke bich aur Binod sir ne Rajan sir ko maarne ki dhamki bhi di thi."

"Jis din Rajan apne ghar se Bangalore ke liye nikla tha uss din uska schedule kya tha.?"

Arjun asked thoughtfully.

Sashi replied,thus Arjun stood folding his arms across his chest roaming his eyes around the working hall.

"Hame Binod Patel ke details aur sare competitors ki list chahiye."

Chhotu said walking forward.

"Sure sir chaliye."

As Chhotu left with the man ,Arjun stood quietly observing the surroundings when Sakshi spoke up.

"Arjun ,mujhe kya lagta hai ki iss Rajan ka jarur affair hoga ,aur ye kahin gayab nahi hua hai vo bhaag gaya hai."

Arjun turned his head to her to give her a cold look ,but she was least affected.

"Arey aese mat dekho ,meri baat pe point hai.

Jab mard apni biwi se jhuth bolke trip ke naam se kahin bahar jaata hai na ,toh pakka vo apni dusri wali se milne jaata hai.

Dekhna ye bhi gaya hoga kisise milne ghum phir ke aajayega wapas."

Arjun didn't reply her anything turning his head away from her.

"Ji kahiye.?"

A man asked on answering the door ,eyeing Rathore and Riya on the doorstep.

"ETF.

Hum Mr Rajan Kapoor ke missing case investigate kar rahe hain."

Rathore said , thus the man stepped aside motioning them to come inside the house.

"Aayiye sir.

Per case toh police ke paas tha,phir ETF.?"

"Rajan ki wife chahti thi case ETF handle kare issliye.

Wese aapki taarif.?"

Riya asked him.

"Ji mai Saroj ,Rajan ka bhai.

Aur vo meri wife hain."

He motioned towards the woman standing near the dining table eyeing them.

"Ab kya puchhna baaki reh gaya hai jo police phir se aayi hai.?"

An elderly woman said bitterly , walking towards them ,and the man went to her quickly.

"Mom,ye ETF officers hain.

Kavya chahti hai ki ETF ye case handle kare , issliye ye log aaye hain."

"Aap log jaake uss kavya se hi kyun nahi puchhte ki kya Kiya hai usne mere bete ke sath?

Na Rajan yahan rehta tha na vo hamare sath koi sambandh rakhna chahta tha ,ki aap log uske baare me yahan puchhne ke liye aaye hain."

The old woman spat angrily.

"Aap ko aesa kyun lagta hai ki aapke bete ke gayab hone ke pichhe aapki bahu ka hath hai.?"

Rathore asked calmly.

"Vo hamari bahu nahi hai."

The voice came from an old man who scooted downstairs furiously.

Rathore ,Riya watched him glaring at them before standing beside the old woman ,and Saroj spoke up objecting their harsh tones.

"Dad ,ye time nahi hai hamare family problems discuss karne ki."

"Toh kya ? Kisike Kuch maanne se sach nahi badal jayegi.

Hum usse apna bahu nahi maante.

Jarur usne hi kuch kiya hai hamare bete ko.

Aap log usse arrest karke kyun ni puchhte ki kahan hai Rajan?"

The old man asked angrily.

"Kisse arrest karna hai aur kisse nahi ye hum tay kar lenge.

Aap logon ko jo puchha jaye uska jawab dijiye."

Rathore said in a firm voice ,thus the elderly couple shut their mouths.

"Aap logon ki last kab baat hui thi apne bete se.?"

Riya asked,to which the old woman was about to shout something but was stopped by her husband.

"Vo jab aakhri baar ghar pe aya tha party me apne biwi ke sath tab.

Humse jhagda karke jaane ke baad uska call aata tha per humne uthaya nahi."

The old man answered keeping his tone down.

"Aapke bahu ko chhod ke aapko kisi aur pe shaq hai.?"

Rathore asked this time.

"Nahi. Uske alawa hame kisi aur pe shaq nahi hai."

The old man answered.

"Humne kitna mana kiya tha uss ladki se shadi karne ke liye. Per nahi ,pata nahi kaunsa kala jaadu kar diya tha usne Rajan pe.

Duniya me ladkiyon ki kami thi kya? Aesi manhoos ladki se shadi karli ,jo shadi ke 7 din me hi apne pehle pati ko kha gayi aur ab mera beta kahin chala gaya hai ."

The old woman murmured bitterly ,and hence Rathore and Riya exchanged a look at each other before exiting the house.

"Rajan ne apne ghar walon ke khilaf jaake Kavya se shadi ki ,iski naarajgi uske family me saaf dikh rahi hai.

Rajan ke milne se zyada inn logon ko Kavya ko blame karne me interest hai."

Riya said as Rathore drove away from the house.

"Unki narajgi apne bete pe honi chahiye thi,kyunki aakhir me zidd karke apne ghar walon ke marzi ke khilaf shadi karne ka faisla unke bete ka tha. "

Rathore schook his head, meanwhile Riya couldn't help but remembered Rathore's mother who seemed to be equally tough regarding Rathore's marriage topic and Riya wondered if his mother would resent him if he would marry against her wish.

Thinking of which....she angled her head to Rathore.

"Sir.?"

"Hm.?"

"Kya aap apne ghar walon ke marzi se shadi karenge.?"

Riya looked at him curiously.

"Uske liye ab bahut dair ho chuki hai."

Rathore replied without any hesitation still looking ahead at the road and she smiled tearing her gaze from him.

"Vo jaise hawa me kahin gayab ho gaya ho wese hi ek din me kisika ata pata mit jaana bahut suspicious hai."

Ayesha added.

"Hum bhi jo Rajan ki office gaye the wahan se thode bahut clues toh mile ,jaise Rajan ke competitors ke bare me aur uske ex-busniess partner ke bare me bhi pata chala."

Sakshi spoke up.

"Aur sir maine uske ex-business partner yani Binod Patel ko phone kiya tha .vo khud business trip pe bahar hai ,wapas aane me 3/4 din lag jaayenge."

Chhotu informed them.

"Aur Rajan ke parents se humne baat ki.per unko apni bahu Kavya ke alawa kisi aur pe shaq nahi hai.

Aur unhe kavya pe shaq bhi bas issi basis pe hai ki Kavya ne unke bete se shadi ki thi."

Riya explained,thus Rathore thought something before speaking up.

"Toh team kya lagta hai? Hame ye case lena chahiye ya nahi.?"

He looked at everyone expectantly,when Riya answered first.

"iss case me ek do nahi bahut sare suspects hain,Rajan ko milake.

Ho sakta hai vo jaan bujh ke chhup gaya ho ya sach me uske sath kuch bura hua ho.

Aur agar sach me vo kidnap hua hai toh jab tak main suspect pakda ni jaata tab tak kahin usse kuch ho na jaaye.

Agar police isme dair kar rahi hai toh mujhe lagta hai hame case handle karna chahiye."

She hopefully looked inbetween Rathore and Arjun who sat silently spinning a pen inbetween his fingers.

"Haan sir wese bhi lagta hai police ki process slow hogayi hai koi clue na milne ki wajah se.

Unke paas aur bhi bahut high-profile cases pending hai."

Shree murmured agreeing with Riya.

"Haan uski biwi bahut pareshan lag rahi thi ,aur vo specially humse help maangne aayi thi toh hame uski help karni chahiye."

Sakshi spoke next.

"Haan sir mujhe bhi lagta hai hame ye case lena chahiye."

Ayesha nodded her head in agreement.

"Haan sir mujhe bhi lagta hai."

Chhotu gave his approval,and hence all eyes now turned to Arjun.

Arjun diverted his gaze from the empty space he was staring at, to the team and straightened up on his seat leaning a little towards the table.

"Hame sabse pehle vo chiz dhundni hai jiski wajah se police ko ab tak koi clue ni mila hai.

Agar police ne sirf uska present dhunda hai toh hame uska past dhundna hai."

"Matlab.?"

Rathore raised his brow.

"Matlab ye ki agar Rajan ke recent call records me kuch ni hai toh uske purane call records nikalo.

Agar kisi suspect ka present history clear hai toh uski past history pata karo.

Agar uske sath sach me kuch hua hai toh ho sakta hai uski planning bahut pehle se Kiya gaya ho."

Arjun explained then turned to the other team members.

"Shree Rajan aur uske aas pass ke sare logon ki pichhle 3 mahino ki call records check Karo.

Chhotu ,Rajan ke office ke sare staffs , unn competitors,Binod ,aur Rajan ki family sabki puri details nikalo.

Riya, Rajan ke sare bank transactions check Karo pichhle 3 mahine ki ,personal aur business dono ka.

Sakshi, Rajan ki puri schedule varify karo .vo kisse milta tha kab aur kaise milta tha sab kuch.

Ayesha Rajan ke ghar se leke office tak jitne bhi cctv footage milte hain sab check Karo.

Gayab hone se pehle vo roz kis raaste se jaata tha ,kaunse stoppage me rukta tha sare details nikalo."

Arjun breathed in a go and everyone nodded their heads.

"Toh thik hai kal hum sari details ke sath case ko shuru se shuru karenge.

Tab tak mai commissioner sir se case takeover ke liye baat kar lunga."

Rathore announced,got up and left along with Arjun.

"Arey yaar itna Sara kaam? Vo bhi kal tak karna hai.?"

Shree complained.

"Kal tak nahi Shree kal subah tak."

Riya corrected him scratching her own forehead.

"Mai kahin ghar jaake so na jaaun."

Chhotu shook his head.

"Maine socha tha duty ke baad aaj mast ek movie dekhungi ,ab kal subah hamara cinema banega agar sare kaam khatam ni hua toh."

Sakshi sighed.

"Guys mai kya kehti hun hamare paas kaam zyada hai aur waqt Kam ,toh kyun na hum sab milke saare kaam karle? Aese kaam bhi jaldi ho jayega aur hum sab sath honge toh waqt ka pata bhi nahi chalega."

Ayesha suggested looking at her friends hopefully.

"Tumhara matlab hum sab yahin pe ruk jaate hain.?"

Shree narrowed his gaze at her ,to which she nodded positively.

"Idea bura nahi hai wese.

Hum akele apne apne ghar me kaam karenge toh bore hoke neend aajayegi."

Riya murmured in agreement.

"Hai na.?"

Ayesha questioned.

"Haan ye bhi thik hai."

Chhotu nodded.

"Toh thik hai tum sab kaam shuru karo mai sabke liye strong coffe banake laati hun."

Sakshi announced standing up from her seat and rushed to the cafeteria meanwhile others started their works without any delay.

The next morning Arjun came walking inside the bureau making his way towards his cabin but stopped in the midway while walking past the conference hall.

Diverting his footsteps he entered the conference hall and stood watching everyone except Rathore sleeping there on their respective seats.

Since they all seemed to be in deep slumber he knocked on the table to alert them ,but none buzzed.

"Shree?"

"Sakshi.?"

"Ayesha.?"

"Chhotu.?"

"Riya.?"

He called their names one by one ,but getting no response in return he walked over to one side of the table first, to check what they were doing all night to be sleeping this late in the morning.

He picked up the papers shree had over his laptop while he slept leaning back on his chair and Arjun checked the papers of call records with various marking on them.

Next he walked up to Ayesha ,who had noted down the routes of Rajan's daily traveling routine on a notepad that she had neatly kept aside before sleeping resting her head on the table.

The very next was Sakshi who had Rajan's schedules summarised and Arjun noted some of the meetings were red marked by her on the paper she was sleeping on ,which he pulled out swiftly.

Chhotu being the extreme had put up both of his legs on the table,with the other half of his body leaned back comfortably on the chair ,with a file laying on his chest.

Arjun looked over his comfortable state of sleeping before taking the file from him and checked he had noted down details of people related to Rajan.

Lastly he walked across the table to Riya who had crawled up on her chair with a file covering her face ,and he tried to take the file away but realised she was clutching the file from below, thus he tried again.

Bending down a little he tried to lift up the file,even succeeding in it but it was the moment when Riya stirred forcing her eyes to open and the first thing she found was Arjun staring down at her.

She blinked assuming she was dreaming,but then he looked too real to be in a dream and that's when her sleepy eyes widened and she tried getting up from her chair in panic colliding her forehead with him in the process.

Arjun held his hand up to his forehead ,while she slumped back on her chair automatically ,wincing due to the sharp pain on her forehead, and her chair wheels rolled backwards due to the sudden impact.

Arjun withdrew his hand from his forehead putting it over the armrest of her chair stopping it from moving back further, then glared down at her.

"Sorry .sorry sir."

She murmured quickly rubbing a hand over her forehead , meanwhile the commotion interrupted the quiet atmosphere and everyone in the hall started getting up from their sleep.

"Ye sab kya ho raha hai yahan pe.?"

Rathore's voice made everyone alert in the room ,thus Arjun casually walked towards his chair while and others stood up straight from their chairs.

"Good morning sir."

All except Arjun chorused.

"Tum sab kal raat se yahin pe ho.?"

Rathore asked again eyeing their sleepy states.

"Vo sir kaam bahut zyada tha toh humne socha sab ek saath milke kar lete hain.

Aur kaam khatam hote hote almost subah hogayi thi toh hum yahin so Gaye."

Chhotu answered biting back a yawn.

Rathore narrowed his gaze at his team ,but then seeing how tired they looked he let out a sigh before speaking up.

"Ek kaam karo sab apne apne ghar chale jao ,fresh hoke rest karke wapas aao phir hum case discuss karenge..."

"Ab itni si baat ke liye aapko hame half day ki chhuti dene ki jarurat nahi hai sir."

Shree smiled at his chief ,earning a pointed look in return.

"thik 1 ghante me ."

Rathore completed his sentence making Shree's smile instantly drop and everyone grabbed their stuff hurrying out of the conference hall without uttering a single word further.
