Lol nothing really happened in Twist Me except the same repeated bedroom scenes over and over again. The plot only develops like in the last few chapters. Capture Me series at least had better character development and slow burn.

I don’t mind smut but it has to have a plot. I remember one book started off with the girl being hogtied after being kidnapped or something and it just started off with smut pages after pages - dnfd that so fast and was like WTF is this 🤣 I like it when things build up and you see their interactions and connection, have a flirty or dangerous banter or something. Even more so when you read about character growth.

Was Fear me by BB Reid? If yes, I’ve read all 5 and loved each one.

Ghosted by JMD

Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters - if you haven’t yet read this, give it a go. This was soo freaking good. The character and world building and the plot was just amazing! It’s one of my favourite dark reads.

Bully by Penelope Douglas is another I’ve read like years ago. I enjoyed it and even enjoyed a couple of her other books.

Dominator by DD Prince was one I dnfed a few years ago 🤣 The writing in my opinion was as atrocious as the story/plot.

What chapter are you on now? I’ve read chapter 12 and hope to finish tomorrow. I’m finding it gruesome but the banter between them is getting funny. I still don’t know why it’s only an annual thing.

I will read all those books someday but so far my favourite DR books are Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas and Pen Pal by JT Geissinger (they were more dark thrillers than romance imo)

Are DD Prince books just smut w/o plot?

I'm on chapter 6 I think. Still no idea what's going on I'll read a few more chapters by tomorrow

After the Dominator, I never picked anymore of her books as I did not want to waste time if it was going to be the same sort of writing

What chapter are you on now? I'm on chapter 14, almost getting to 15 so most likely finish by tomorrow. Would have finished tonight if I didn't need to catch up with some work

I'm on 11 I think. Still no clue wtf is happening.

All I kinda got was they meet once a year and they’re competing on the serial killers they choose to kill or something? 🤣 and now they’ve got some sort of feelings towards each other I think 🤔

I agree with that, there’s not much background information on them either. We just learn a few bits but nothing about how they started, where it all stemmed. I don’t think there’s much chemistry between them, I don’t feel it.

I really hoped this one would have layers of mystery and being serial killers, we’ll see more depth to their characters and make us question our own moral compass etc….

I hoped it would have been like Tillie Cole’s sick fux. That was so freaking good , it had me on edge.

This one is pushing me to read as fast as possible. Their few lines of banter is the only entertainment in the book lol I think they’re more friends and can’t see them as something more as I can’t see the chemistry between them.

Yeah, abhi tak there's no chemistry because I think they have hardly bonded, it's all just been about killing people. But I think there is potential. Now it just depends on how the author has written the rest of the story. I'm not expecting much tbh.

Very bad writing acc to me, I'm still wondering why this book got so popular.

Iske baad I'll have to read something by an author I like and trust, apna mood theek karne ke liye. I'll probably get to the other 2 books in this series at a later time. When I feel like reading about serial killers.
