I think the movie is just not good. Jammypants is a big Hrithik fan. If he did not like it, I do think the film is shoddy. Although I agree the negativity has been extreme.

By the way the director passed away last year, he was a good director and made Dhoom 1 and 2 so entertaining and cool to watch.

But most self proclaimed critics like Jammy is paid already and then as you said maybe the movie is not good but the audience reviews are different from what critics said. Not all critics can say same thing if they liked War and Pathaan, both movies previously had no solid storyline either and yes south have their own politics, since we have NTR here now the negativity is double, all top heroes PR in south mostly Charan and Prabhas and here obviously the samosa combined, and as a bonus coolie clash with Lokesh PR
