Abhimanyu was written much better, he actually had redemption but people still hate him

Even if you look at Abhira, she is continously hating on Geetanjali but Abhimanyu thanked Abhinav, he was angry with him initially because Abhinav lied to him but he never tried to erase Abhinav from Abhir's life

I have understood it all comes down to actors, a huge number of people hated Harshad so they made it their life to continuously hate on Abhimanyu

Agreed. Karthik and Abhimanyu were good persons who at least faced consequences of their wrongs and were redeemed later. No body was as criminal as Armaan, who is neither facing any consequences and is deliberately thrown at our faces as great admirable ML.
