But they marketed it as a love story.. So anyone who wanted to watch a serious film would've not gone... And people who go for romance are disappointed..

Article 15 was made before pre covid so maybe that's why it worked also it was inspired by a real time case and law too so it may have worked because of that.But this movie is caste based social love story so maybe that's why it didn't work along with that heard the movie has some uncomfortable scenes also there is competition of other releases too.Dhadak 1 worked because of many reasons(music,a nice caste based love story,maybe the debut movie of two Nepos,shocking ending,the original movie being a hit of 100 crores etc).The original Tamil movie Dhadak 2 is based on has a low budget of 3-5 crores it didn't earn so high money too at the box office too so this Hindi adaptation of the movie should have got less budget too

Most probably they named it Dhadak 2 to get the goodwill of the first movie.Also like Dhadak,the Tamil movie Dhadak 2 is based on has a caste topic so maybe that's why they used the name Dhadak.They kept Dhadak 2 storyline similar to the original movie so usmein koyi galati nahi ki inhone maybe they could have made some changes to the Hindi version.Also budget of Dhadak 2 should have been less since the Tamil original movie has a low budget

Maybe it still is a money problem...Dharma gives movies to a lot of debutant directors...

Maybe a certain KJo-laziness to invest himself in the making.

Maybe a certain audience-fatigue towards what comes out of Dharma Productions.

its a boring concept primarily. nobody cares about who falls in love with who in colleges.

only people who does not allow their women to fall in love with people of other community are jihadis. they create an issue. make a movie about them if the director wants to bring some change.
