I think its bigger than Kaho naa pyaar hai if it will open 20 cr+. Kaho naa pyaar hai was a Rakesh Roshan's film who was a very Top director at that time unlikely Mohit

The film will end up below average. It needs 100 crore to be a hit

Still nothing that can come even close to the euphoria of Maine Pyar Kiya. Doubt it will ever be achieved, unless a totally newcomer with some extraordinary talent unexpectedly breaks into the scene.

Maine Pyaar Kiya grew on people.smiley27...due to the family movie and the beyond adorable leads......MPK did not become a blockbuster before it released......It worked its way slowly to becoming an ATBB.....smiley36

Despite me being SRK fan.....MPK till date remains the best romantic movie for me...

Isn’t it the same with all the blockbusters pre SM era? That’s the thing about being an organic entertainer. It doesn’t need anyone else to do the talking, except the movie itself and the actors. Whereas now the lines between the PR induced and the organic WOM have totally blurred, just like everything else. :(

@MPK- Salman toh has become an overnight heartthrob but the fact that even Bhagyashree is still able to stay somewhat relevant without doing much else after the movie, shows how crazy their following was. Hard to match in this SM era.
