Ishaan Karki: "Carse seems to have found that flaw in the way Nair brings the bat down and is pursuing it. Proper test cricket here!" -- Yep and he is getting some movement off the good lengths as well

Sartaj: "When do you reckon India should declare?" -- They shouldn't even think about it before the lead crosses 450 I reckon

Brydon Carse to Karun Nair, out Caught by Jamie Smith!! Brydon Carse looked threatening all morning and this was waiting to happen. Seam-up full delivery in the channel just outside off, lures Karun Nair into an expansive drive and gets the ball to tail away ever so slightly. Thick outside edge and Smith takes a fine catch to his right behind the stumps. Brydon Carse is nursing a foot injury, but he has looked in decent rhythm today morning. Karun Nair c Jamie Smith b Brydon Carse 26(46) [4s-5]

And the first wicket comes off the fifth edge England seamers have induced. 12th false shot in eight overs today, compared to eight in the 13 overs yesterday evening.

Right through the Test, England bowled a lot of full balls to Nair, even plenty of half-vollies. That was the clear plan, to get him driving as often as they could. Must've spotted an area they could target. He did put a few away, but has eventually succumbed to it.

Kumar: "When will the ball become soft?" -- Well, usually, this ball has stopped doing anything after the 30-over mark. Which is fast approaching.

PR: "Where did India pluck Nair from? Couldn't they have found someone better?" -- Well, he was picked on the back of a couple of very good domestic seasons.
