Dunki, which grossed around 425cr+ at the Worldwide Box Office despite being a Drama film and facing a High-Profile Clash with #Salaar , is termed as an Underperformer by Trade & Media. Why?

Simply because #SRK is someone whose range starts from 500cr gross, and after Jawan & Pathaan, he is the Biggest Superstar currently, so nothing less than 1000cr is the expectation. But not every film can breach this mark because of genre limitations and other external factors!💯

Meanwhile, #SitaareZameenPar, which is crawling towards a 230-250cr WW gross lifetime, is hyped up by Trade & Media because the perception is being made that it is a Drama film, plus #AamirKhan is going through rough patches, so it is considered good !!

But anyways, whatever the result is, I have been waiting for a Drama film that will cross Dunki’s WW gross; till then, just celebrate the mediocrity…🙏🏻

So we are supposed to forget that it released on a Xmas weekend and it was not just a SRK film. It was a Hirani film who is known to deliver blockbusters. Sitaare is a film about people with down syndrome which in itself becomes niche.

What have SRK and Salman to do with SZP??? A Salman fan not liking that an SRK fan posts that an Aamir movie already is declared a hit, is t h a t the reason to drag SRK and Salman in this thread???

Why even compare Dunki and SZP? Dunki was an original script about illegal immigration into England, SZP is a slightly special sports comedy-drama film (like the Spanish original). Dunki was (deliberately) put in a clash-situation with a Prabhas-movie, SZP hasn't to face a clash. Dunki had an opening workday of almost 30 cr and a first Monday of almost 25 cr.

So, why not just stop such redundant comparisons and just enjoy that a movie with a bunch of intellectually disabled people gets its own success. Aamir's production house made the remake, Aamir plays the coach, but like in ChakDe, it's about a team. So, if any comparison, then better with ChakDe and/or Maidaan...
