Gashmeer was not attracted to imlie at the start .. he treated her as a kid and was disgusted to marry her ..

He ill treated imlie and told her to move on . Study and leave the house but she kept the pretence of a maid for a long time .. later on he started getting attracted to her

the story of ishti kutum was always shitty .. as both Aditya and imlie were cheating malini .. but the 3 actors were good so was the whole cast . And imlie and malini’s father .

@bold: I don't think these statements are accurate. Aditya was never DISGUSTED by Imlie....he was angry about being forced into marriage against his will and he was taking out that frustration on Imlie....he found her annoying many times because of her crazy antics but disgust is too strong a word.

Him and Imlie had become quite friendly in Pagdandiya on his first visit....only the forced marriage made him angry with Imlie.....so disgust would never be an accurate term to use about Aditya's emotions for Imlie.....he did find her childish but it was quite obvious from early on only that their value system matched unlike Aditya-Malini.....because Aditya was always a more rooted man and Malini was a pampered princess who never really understood his work or the strong core of righteousness that drives him.....she was always about superficial flighty things. Imlie shared the same core of righteousness as Aditya.

And Imlie took on the pretense of a maid because Aditya was hesitating about what to say when he very reluctantly brought her to his house after being unable to drop her off at a woman's hostel.....and it wasn't like Imlie was dying to eternally stay as a maid in Tripathi house....she tried to leave many times but either Aditya stopped her or destiny brought her back.

In Ishti , the ML-FL openly cheated the PL, yes but that was not the case in Imlie....both Aditya and Imlie were always shown worshipping Malini and were feeling heavily guilt ridden constantly about hiding the truth from her....so that does not qualify as cheating in my eyes when your conscience is very much alive to make you feel the burden of hiding a truth and feeling guilt over it. In fact, Aditya and Imlie themselves went though a lot of pain to ensure Malini's happiness.....neither of them ever mistreated or disrespected her until she started crossing the line in misbehavior.
