The moment Mannat and Vikrant’s gaze shifted to Puneet barging into the room behind Neetu and seeing them in a compromising position, they lost balance, falling head first.
“OUCH” yelled Mannat, her glasses nowhere to be found.
Vikrant heard her and instantly checked if she was alright.
In all this mess, Vikrant forgot one detail.
“Here Ms. Mannat, I have your glasses” he hurriedly put them on her.
She let out a breath of relief and was about to thank him, but as soon as her vision cleared, she saw Vikrant’s towel on the ground beside her.
She screamed out in horror realizing what that meant. Vikrant jumped and looked down. He cursed before running to hide in the bathtub.
He peeked out a little from the tub, seeing her stand there, her eyes tightly closed.
“M.ss.. M..an..na..t, I..a..m s..soo..rry” he said, flustered.
“Aapp..aap..ne mujh..ee glasses wapis kyun di..ye?! Aaap mein sharam naam ki cheez bachi hai KYA Mr. Saluja Sir Ji?!”
“Aar..reey..Pu..nnu..I mean..Pun..eet agaya tha..mujhe kuch samaj..nahin..aaya, aur tumhe..lag gayi..” He fumbled.
“Acha..theek hai, theek hai! Main jaa rahi hunnn yahan se, humesha keliye!!” she yelled out, frustrated.
Vikrant's eyes widened at her words.
“NAAHINNN!” He screamed out, jumping from the bathtub to stop her.
Mannat’s gaze landed on him, completely stunned at her butt naked boss standing right in front of her.
Vikrant realized what he did and instinctively put his hands in front of his “bachi kuchi izzat”.
“SALUJA SIR JI, YE KYA BARTAV HAI?!” She screeched, turning all shades of red.
Her eyes were squeezed shut, unable to forget what she saw a few seconds ago.
“Control Mannat, control!” she told herself, trying to not blush at her thoughts.
Vikrant ran back to his previous hiding spot and said “Tum nahin jaa sakti Mannat!”
She frowned “KYUNN?!!”
“Ky..un..ki..ummm..woh..me..meraa..towel! Me..raa TOWEL KAUN DEGAAA?!” He blurted out, proud of his cover up. Vikrant smiled to himself, satisfied with his "bahana".
“HUHh..”
Did he really just say that? She thought.
“Woh aapki fiancée hi de sakti hai, aur woh main nahin hun!” she replied dryly, before exiting the bathroom and breathing a sign of relief.
She looked around and quickly scrambled out of the restaurant when she saw no one.
Vikrant chuckled at himself and blushed a little after the moment he shared with Mannat. He was about to come out of the bathtub, when he saw Puneet swinging his towel in his hand, a teasing smile on his face.
Vikrant knew he was screwed. Puneet would never let him live this down.
Puneet cleared his throat “I think you forgot something very important Vikrant..”
“Shut up, and give that back to me!”
Puneet chuckled before throwing the towel to his face.
“There is nothing left to cover up Vikrant, everyone saw your “little” mishap!”
Vikrant groaned in embarrassment, hiding his face in the towel!
