Actually I haven’t watched the first season entirely but I have seen a lot of clips. I was a teen then. It was a family oriented show.

But what happened was Ekta was ruling the roost with same themes across all her shows - lust, crime, plastic surgeries etc. Rishta Gen 1 focused more on family, relationships, celebrating festivals etc. This stood out among the other shows which were saturated.

I saw video on YouTube. Neil was doing tamasha outside Savi's house. He was saying, "Aapki himmat kaise hui Sai ke mobile se mera number block karne ki? Aap ko kya laga aap mera number block karengi aur apne little pookie se milne nahi aunga? Dur ho jaunga apne little pookie se?" Then he was shouting "little pookie", "little pookie". I really liked the bond between a man, Mohan and a kid, Navika in a show named Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha in the past. But this is absolutely ridiculous! Dude! Your wife died probably 20 or 30 days ago and you're extremely upset because you can't talk to a kid whom you met recently for probably only a few times. And he was doing tamasha outside someone's house! Neil was so different before! He also told Savi, "Ab aap ko meri aadat daalni hogi..." What the hell was that? Man! It's so great that stopped watching this weird show. I checked the comment section of that YouTube video and all the comments were negative.

Exactly! Neil didn't have anything to do with alcohol in the past. Aur ab ek bacchi ke liye drink kar raha hai jise wo thik se janta bhi nahi. Makers kya dikha rahe hai show mein? Agar Tejaswini ke jane ke dukh mein drink karta to mujhe phir bhi samaj mein ata.

Me too stopped watching only off screen masthi of Bav & Param ...Since it is going off air I may start watching
