What do you guys think about free speech ? Recently Sharmishtha Panoli was arrsted for insulting the Prophet. The one who filed complain against her is absconding because he himself was insulting Hindu Gods. Another woman Habiba Khatun has also been arrested for insulting Maa Kali. TMC ministers have frequently insulted Hindu Gods. Same with DMK whose ministers have insulted Sanatan Dharma. None of the ministers / party members have been arrested. In Sharmishtha's case Milords have said that free speech anyway does not mean that one can hurt sentiments. Previously in Nupur Sharma's case Milords even pinned the ISIS style killings of people on her head, even though she was responding to the insult of Shivling being thrown at her. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka took a break from hating on Biharis and started fighting with each other over a statement by Kamal Hassan that Kannda evolved from Tamil. Milords again reminded that Kamal Hassan does not have any right to hurt sentiments. It's a different thing that Kamal Hassan refused to apologize, not giving a damn to Karnataka HC observations. So where does this all stop ? People in India are not just arrested because they insult Prophets and deities. They may also get arrested also because a politician doesn't like a joke or criticism. Free speech absolutists are of the view that unless a speech ends up leading to violence, all kinds of speech should be free no matter whom they are insulting or criticizing. Many on both sides of the ideological spectrum, be it Hindutva or Islamists or Leftists disagree. In Ranveer Allahabadia's case many supported his arrest and liked the schooling of Allahabadia by the courts, apart from the ones who are FSAs. Also there is a dicey thing here. If someone insults the Prophet, Islamists have another grievance redressal mechanism which is STSJ, in case blasphemy is outlawed. Hindus on the other hand might not even have dug out Wazahat Khan's tweets until Sharmishta got arrested and deadly sloganeering started against her. Do you think the establishment fears that if blasphemy law is taken away, people would end up finding a Hindu equivalent of STSJ and then maintainance of law and order would become difficult ? Also the two communities, governments, society as a whole respond very differently to the people who met out insult to the respected figures of these communities. While Nupur Sharma's political career stands destroyed, the life goes on as usual for the likes of Munnawar Farooqui, Kunal Kamra or Tasleem Rehmani. Does Blasphemy laws help society release their heat by punishing the person by getting them arrested. Do the lawmakers think like that ? Does the Hindu society has no other tool apart from these laws through which they can also punish the one who insult their deities, just like Muslims can punish the ones who insult their prophet ? But that ends up getting Hindus arrested too. What do you guys think ? Should there be absolute free speech or the guidelines should be made distinct and clear ? In a vast and diverse country like ours anything a person says can hurt someone's sentiments. Can hurt sentiments be the reason for someone's arrest ? And what's the way of registering the hurt sentiments with the lawmakers. Outrage ? Chaos on streets ?

Somethings just don't make sense.... If the lesser price of the room is the reason(which can be legitimate), the girl still has ₹60000 while being a student, but parents could not afford a better PG 😒

Children often make excuses (equipment, books, fees etc) for money at home or sometimes even steal....

I think the parents must be seculars who don't care about peaceful vs non peaceful.
