I can write more essays so here it goes. Before his test retirement (forced by bcci), he gave many interviews of how he want to score runs in his fav opposition England etc etc. He played Ranji for this. But he was sacked and forced to retire before playing.

Rewind back to 2018, He did the exact same thing to Rahane in South Africa. Rahane was the best overseas batter that time and not kohli. He gave any interview etc that this will be my year because we play in 3 SENA counties. SA is my fav opposition to play against. He was even the VC. But because of his Ego he dropped Rahane. Instant regret as India lost both matches Rahane didn't play. Kohli was forced to being back Rahane and we won 3rd test.

But this betrayal destroyed Rahane the test cricketer. His whole year went garbage barring one or two games. His batting didn't recover until the BGT 2020. Even after that glorious win in Aus he was dropped soon.

Please I can write much much more about him. The only reason I respected him was because he played for my country.
