Like I said it was uncharacteristic of Ani to assume that J was married and indulging in an ONS - he was momentarily upset but as usual he was back to being protective of J ( that ranks higher than love in his case)

Yeah even in this BTS, Jhanak literally tried to tell Ani to stay away from her cuz she's a married woman and aage se Ani was like tumhein pata hai mujhe iss sabse farak nahin padta, I know you still love only me and main maang lunga tumhein PR se
So yes, legalities hardly ever mattered to Ani....he was ready to defy the world for Jhanak since the beginning....but forcibly wafer thin plot ko drag karne ke liye Ani ko beech beech mein "samaaj ka majboor ghulam" type stuff mein trap karte rahe.
This is how they are justifying Ani dragging himself through an unhappy namesake shaadi with Arshi cuz marriage doesn't really have any value in his eyes and he puts the wishes of his heart above those of shaadi ke constraints.....shaadi only matters to him if it involves Jhanak, warna he puts his love for Jhanak above all societal and legal norms....lol
And Jhanak ka issue is more about wanting Ani with a clean slate without Arshi ka baggage hanging over him....lol but Arshi always forces herself in between Runak and THEN Jhanak uses the cover of legality to nullify her own claim on Ani and portray Didi ka claim as valid.....lol
