I guess geetu has some traumatic past, due to which she is attached to kids. They might later show some fb of hers, that could be the reason she is attached to maira.

Except the fact that unknown to her, she is replacing abhira in maira's life, geetu gives positive vibe. Ab tak troll karne layak kuch kiya nahi usne. I don't think she is even interested in armaan, if armaan wishes to return to abhira geetu ko koi issue nahi hoga but maira se separate hona mein problem aa sakti hain.

But if maira gets emotionally attached to her more than her dad, phir toh armaan gaya kaam se. My guess, the day abhira removes her ms will be the day armaan will realise his mistake & would want to return to poddar house, but geetu & maira ek dusre se separate nahi hona chahenge & armaan phas jayega
