Satya treated Savi better than Virat ever did. Their bond was cute. At least he didn’t use his daughter like a prop to emotionally blackmail or gaslight Sai.

I’m sorry, I’m not a fan, if you haven’t guessed by now. I don’t like a single character in Ghum enough to support (up until season 2), but Vada boy stands at the top of the list of characters I would love to punch in the face.

I clearly remember a lot of people criticised his behaviour on this forum when he went to Juhi's house for the very first time. Many people said his behaviour was very disrespectful towards Juhi. But I defended him at that time. I could connect to his character. I said that it's very difficult for a person to smile and talk to a girl/guy normally in an arranged marriage scenario if that person feel completely disinterested. That's why he didn't talk to Juhi. As far as I remember, I only criticised Neil when he defended Mohit's bigamy. But this type of things happen when we respect someone greatly. We can't tolerate hearing negative words about that person. You think Neil wasn't a green flag and that's fine because you're entitled to your opinion. But I think he was a green flag because he was soft-hearted, mature, understanding and empathetic. Most importantly, he used to respect Tejaswini unlike some other toxic male leads of ITV. He never humiliated her when she was alive. I also criticised Tejaswini when she went to meet RR alone in a different city. It was sheer stupidity and she shouldn't have lied to her parents. But that doesn't mean I dislike Tejaswini. People have both strengths and weaknesses. Nobody can be perfect. I didn't like the forced marriage trope and bride swapping trope. Yes, Neil shouldn't have agreed to marriage when he knew Tejaswini didn't love her. But a lot of people become selfish when it comes to love.

As far as Savi is concerned, I never criticised her. Without knowing someone, I don't criticise. That's not my nature. I only criticise something when I have enough knowledge about that. I don't know anything about Savi because I never watched previous seasons. I know some people make fun of her on this forum. But she's only a fictional character. If someone makes fun of her, that doesn't mean that person is insulting a real human being. Those fun posts were created to make other people laugh.

Hey Shirsha, friend to friend, you don’t have to defend yourself to anyone. Perceptions are subjective. It’s not important for everyone to have the same opinions. If people, being in a public forum, cannot respect that and throw shade, it’s on them, not us. And yes, I’ve always seen you thinking from a unique perspective and supporting Neil, but not defending his actions.

Also, don't worry about my time being wasted, dear. I probably have more time on hand honing my humour quotient and debating skills and rhetoric (because practising humour and criticism for a Literature student does not discriminate between society and Ganja) than you trying to make sense of and finding complexity in your favourite character.

Of course, I am extremely proud of my humour, wit, my analytical and way more open-hearted mindset and won't be backing down from trolling your favourite character. Your attempt to steer the discussion away from yourself and your insidious comments to a personal, undignified attack on me from your side is successful so be happy. Keep writing, lamenting and crying about how complex, deep and beautiful your Savi was and how she was butchered by Ganja. Have fun! And let others have fun for goodness' sake. 😂🙏🏻

Sometimes you’ve got to ignore, and sometimes you hit them with a fitting reply. Choose your battles, P! As for essays, I’m all in when it comes to yours!smiley14 Personally, I’m a fan of essays — the only rule? You just need to like the writer (smiley2) and the content! smiley9

@b: exactly. Have fun, let others have their fun. 😌

The one disadvantage of an online forum that I dislike is one's silence is often taken as a yes to the other party's stupid and personal comments. If someone thinks using hideous sarcasm to put someone down publicly instead of being dignified is peak intellectualism, then I can't really choose. I have to resurrect sarcasm to its original stature.

Thanks for not insulting my thoughts and writing, V. Not many people learn to respect others even if they haven't seen or known them.

I would of course choose my battles nevertheless.

But on this matter, like the favourite character on this forum these days said,

a woman in a red dress with the words pata nhi kya hi ho raha

The problem is people don’t understand sarcasm. It’s an art, and there are those who equate snide remarks/shades to sarcasm, which isn’t quite right.

I’m of the opinion that mocking or trolling a character isn’t the end of the world. While you might like someone, others might not. Personal insults because a favorite character of yours was trolled? Honestly, it’s juvenile. You can defend them without insulting the other person’s intelligence. ITV mein, there is little to no scope for intellectual debates, haina? smiley36

@b: Anytime.

Virat Chavan literally asked Sai to share their kid with Patralekha, knowing she committed a literal crime to surrogate their child. She emotionally blackmailed him, and yet he couldn’t stop feeling sorry for his “bhabhi”? What possible reason could he have had to commit such an atrocious act, other than the fact that he’s an insensitive and selfish individual?

Come on, Ashane bro, Satya didn’t “wreck” anyone’s home. In fact, Sai and Virat made the guy’s life hell, playing tag with him for no reason other than the fact that they are despicable people with no respect for anyone’s emotions but their own. Illegitimacy is not a character flaw. He didn’t choose to be illegitimate. You sound like those people in ITV who treat it as if it’s some dirty secret and look down on the person with disdain for no fault of theirs. Not to mention it sounds judgmental.

Listen Miesty if you lost love in front of your eyes once aur wahi insaan kisi aur ke pyaar even beti ko usse chhin le for selfish motives like marriage ka pressure... Then I don't think even Daayan Amma PL can be termed more deceitful than you....he himself said to Virat after paralysis ki I don't wanna be homewrecker....baaki aap dekh lo

And I didn't like Virat from surrogacy but when did he know about Pakhi's real intentions...smiley22And how come giving child that too for few days to suicidal- widow bhabhi who is the reason you have your only son in this world is selfish....let aside he gave promise to his late murdered brother of taking PL's charge....did you forget what all Sai did afterwards???

Last of all....illegitimacy I was just responding to tweet shared regarding family bg and identity- why mavashi shouldn't be shocked....waise yahan toh kya kya likh jaate hain maine toh phir bhi...koi naa...This is television Miesty made for entertaining trp aunties warna with same story show ka mukhda kuch aur hi hota yk as well....and don't wanna argue on this...

What Sai did afterwards? She walked out surrogacy mom that was Pakhi had no " right " on the child ..Vinu was Sai & Virat's son..Pathralekha wanted to be Virat's child's mom by thick or thin ...

Sai moved away , any woman with dignity will do that ..In Ghum 1 there was one real love story that was of " Pulkit & Devi"...

.Sathya actually was a good character who asked Virat & Sai to get married again and move on as a family...
