I'm reading "The Pumpkin Spice Cafe' by Laurie Gilmore, which I am enjoying and I accidentally saw the goodreads reviews for it. It's rated so lowly and people are really hating on the book.
It has the insta love kind of trope. Basically they're friends, not too close to know about each other well enough, but they do know each other and probably fell in love while all the cute little helpful interactions.
I haven't seen Gilmore girls but acc to the reviews, it's an 'AI' version of it. I don't know but I'm really liking it. It might not be the greatest and the best reads but it's definitely a cute one (as of now and I'm more than half way through the book)
I hate it when shows/books I like are rated so lowly while the ones which I loathe with my soul are rated highly and are also overhyped. And unfortunately , my tastes are so different from the usual crowd that I'm now almost used to seeing people criticize what I like most of the time because they can't see the stuff beneath the surface (and love and manifest and expect ANGST everywhere, especially in dramas). It hurts my soul but I'm to be blamed for bothering to check out the reviews
