Japan committed atrocities in Korea, China and across Southeast Asia. Nazi Germany did the same to the Jews. But today, both countries are respected nations with positive global reputations. Why?? Because they accepted their mistakes and never repeated them. In Germany, even mentioning the Nazis or using their symbols, hand sign is a criminal offense. Japan also acknowledged its brutal past and forgave even america for the atomic bombings. They accepted responsibility, forgave and moved forward toward modernization and thats why they are doing so well globally and are seen in a positive light.

Now tell me, whats stopping muslims from doing the same?? Instead of constantly saying not all muslims are bad, why not actively get rid of the rotten ones, accept the wrongs done in the name of your religion and apologize for them?? But no, many only know how to play the victim card, even when the real victims are followers of other religions suffering due to terrorism carried out in Islam’s name.

The bottom line is that only the majority of their own people, those they say are good, have the power to reform their religion and shape a positive global image. No one else is going to do it for them. Its their responsibility, not ours.

That's what I have been saying too. The onus is on them to understand and teach the correct version of teachings in their community. The innocent Majority should take that initiative. Blaming non-muslims for not understanding Islam or quran won't work. Cos it's not the non-muslims who are doing violence in the name of islam but the muslims themselves.

People judge based on actions... And if a certain image has formed due to their actions the onus lies on them only to influence their community to change their actions. The image will automatically improve when the actions change for better.
